Happy belated 4th of July
Key Clubbers! I hope you
all are enjoying this 4th of
July weekend with your
families and seeing some
spectacular fireworks! With
summer kicked in to full
gear and the hot weather
surely making its mark, we
are continuing to make
strides into making this
year of service one of the
best! Thank you to
everyone who has not
stopped serving others
during your summer break
and there will definitely be
an array of opportunities in
the approaching months.
Thank you for taking the
time to read another
installment of this
newsletter and enjoy the
rest of July!

What are you doing to serve your
community this summer? This is what
we asked some of our members and
here is how some of them answered:
Garik Koloyan- “I volunteer at
Glendale Memorial Hospital! It is
really fun and I’ve met a lot of
people.”
Noberto Duga- “I help my local
church and I donate to charities”
Natalie Kalpakyan- “I am going to
continue volunteering at the Hospital
with Garik!!”
From volunteering to donating to a
good cause, any small act of kindness
is appreciated within our community.
Service never sleeps during the
summer and it is seen in what Key
Clubbers all over have done to make
a difference. Below is a banner for an
upcoming Region 7 service project.
We would love to see you all there!

There was DCON…then there was
ICON. The Key Club International
Convention is currently in session
and Key Clubbers around the world,
(yes the world!) have gathered in
the beautiful capital of the U.S.,
Washington D.C. to share their love
and passion for service with each
other. Members are there for a full
week, attending workshops, social
activities, and exploring the beautiful
city of D.C. Our president, Briana
Hillo is currently there representing
the CNH District, R7, D16, and Bell-
Jeff’s Key Club! This is a once in a
lifetime opportunity and we wish the
best of luck and safety for everyone
there. –Romulo Dinsay, Bulletin Editor
Hey guys it’s your President Briana
and I’m currently at ICON and I’m
having a blast! I hope that all of you
are enjoying your summer and your
4TH of July. Even during Summer
break, I want us to all to be active in
serving others and attending Key
Club events/meetings. We are
starting to look into fundraising opp-
ortunities to improve our Key Club
and we are planning many events
for the upcoming school year. It will
be exciting and we can’t wait! I
hope that I can see as many of you
guys as possible at the Beach
Clean-Up, it will be really fun!

Key Clubbers in and around the
Burbank area participated in Project
Greenlight from June 24-26.
Members went to the Tennis Center
at McCambridge Park to help those
with Down Syndrome and play some
tennis with them! Burbank High has
made this project known and it is a
great opportunity to bring some
fun and smiles to these teens with
Down Syndrome. These are memories
that these boys and girls will never
forget for the rest of their lives. Over
400,000 Americans today live with
Down Syndrome, but thanks to
medicine and science of today, they
are able to live healthy lives with no
risk of future conditions. (Source: ndss.org)

Do you want to show off your Key
Club pride to the world? All you
need is some Key Club Gear! We are
looking for designs for new Bell Jeff
Key Club shirts and sweatshirts for
the upcoming year. If you have any
idea for apparel or merchandise
that would be even better! Email
any of us through the contact info
on the next page if you have any
roaring ideas! We want to stand out
from the rest and this is a great
opportunity to contribute to your
club. If we choose your design, Bell
Jeff Key Clubbers and maybe even
Key Clubbers from other schools will
be wearing your very own design!
