BECONA DOES BETTER!The current formwork solutions have seen no ma-jor evolutionary changes over the last 20 years. It is one of the few building sectors which have taken little to no advantage of technological progress. The daily usage highlights the problems and irritations caused by the current systems: bending of the pan-els, limited modulability in usage, just to name but a few.

It is for this reason that BECONA developed their own new and revolutionary formwork solution. The panels that are used in the system are no long-er made of wood, but of reinforced plastic. This en-sures a very smooth concrete surface thanks to the special coating.

PRIMUS FORMWORK SYSTEM

IMPORTANT!The dimensional stability is crucial in resuming the formwork in vertical pouring’s. This dimensional stability is achieved by using the robust double cross sections.

COLUMN FORMWORKThe column panels are universal. They can also be used as wall panels. The robust double cross sections prevent shear on the plastic plates.

The welded aluminium adjusting block makes it possible to adjust the panels per cm.

Protective plastic casings en-sure that the plastic plates don’t get damaged. The conical edge ensures that the sealing caps stay in place.

With the column panels it is possible to make a column in windmill vane form or semi-traditional.

QUALITY CREATES CONFIDENCE

The PRIMUS formwork system is thought through till in the smallest detail: walls, columns and beams are all in one system, which is also per cm adjustable.The Alkus plates are attached completely from the rear side. This ensures a completely flat front side.

The thickness of the aluminium edge profile is 142 mm. This results in a high resistibility to the concrete pressure and limits bending.

The cross sections ensure a faster, securer attachment of the scaffolding, push-pull props and the construction beams by using only one article, the hammerhead bolt.

The rabbet on the outside edge profile ensures:

� a perfect connection during construction

� easy formwork removal

� fast cleaning

• The openings on the side of the edge profiles offer numerous attachment possibilities

• The alu-formwork panel is covered with a special coating and this ensures easier cleaning and a longer life span.

• The attached screw heads ensure that the flange nuts don’t get lost when the panels are being dismantled.

ALU-PRIMUS 60 kN/m2

Bending in formwork is a problem which occurs often. With the new system from BECONA this is a thing of the past.

The stability of this formwork is one of the most important advantages of this newly developed technology

IMPORTANT!In the calculation of the formwork panels we take into account the bending of the panels as well as the mate-rial tension. With a load of 60 kN/m² the material tension is not exceeded. This determines the lifespan of the formwork panels.

Concrete pressures are dependent on the concrete pouring rate and external temperatures:

The concrete is to be poured from a not too great height in order to avoid localised pressure.

Deep vibration of the poured concrete adds extra concrete pressure and must be avoided. The use of external vibrators is forbidden. Always compact the concrete with an immersion vibrator.

All corners must have additional shoring. External corners are never to be used on the inside corners of the poured walls!

CLOSED LIFT COREClosed lift core with self-releasing crimp cornersLift cores and concrete pits are quickly released with the MAGNUS crimp corners. By turning on the spindle system the entire lift core shrinks and releases from the concrete.

The entire core can be removed without dismantling. This can save a lot of man hours.
