IS THERE ANY EXTRA
SUPPLEMENTARY?
Generally, Secondary One students do not
have supplementary lessons. However,
certain students may be identified to attend
remediation sessions organised by their
subject teachers in the afternoon.
Parents will be notified of this through their
child’s handbook.
HOW TO GET STUDENTS TO
FOCUS ON MATHS?
Encouragement from Parents.
Not afraid to TRY (Fail but never give up),
Not afraid to Work Hard.
Perseverance, hard work and
ATTENTION during lessons are keys to
success in Mathematics.
Daily practice is needed to provide sufficient
exposure to different types of questions.

HOW DO YOUR ARRANGE
STUDENTS IN CLASS?
Students in the same course are randomly
placed into the classes.
Students are seated in their classroom
usually according to their height.
Parents who have concern over where their
child is seated may approach the form
teacher for help.
WHAT IS THE PERCENTAGE
ALLOWED FOR LATERAL
TRANSFER TO EXPRESS/N(A)
STREAM IN 2016?
As long as the students meet the criteria
for lateral transfer and are assessed to be
ready for the course, they will be laterally
transferred.
The school does not set a cap on the
percentage allowed for lateral transfer in a
year.
