LEADER INFO.

As a Beach Week leader/host/chaperone, each of you are strategically placed in a condo with a set of students. We ask that each of you hold your students to the highest standard of behavior for the week. Here is a list of points to focus on with your group:

• Make sure your group respects the condo. (no trashing)• Have a great attitude. You will get tired. Push through it!• Be flexible and communicate any changes in schedule to your

students.• Do not allow your students to stay up past lights out (12 am

each night).• On the day we leave for the camp, you will receive an up-to-

date rooming list with all of the students in your room. You are responsible for the students whereabouts at all times. Please be mindful of their whereabouts.

• Do not allow students to leave the condos with their phones.• Meals: As you can imagine, feeding 125 people is quite a chal-

lenge. When you arrive on Sunday evening, a pizza dinner will be provided in your condo. We are eating dinner in the Ballroom on Monday and Tuesday nights. All other meals are going to be pro-vided by us. You will be updated on the locations (in each condo or a central location) for all other meals (breakfast and lunch). Please facilitate having students eat during the allotted times. You don’t have to cook or make their food. Simply lay it out, have them eat, and have them help clean up the kitchen.

• TRANSPORTATION:

• We are taking three 15-passenger vans, a 28-passenger and a 25-passenger bus with us to accommodate all of our people! Please divide yourselves up among the vans and buses and take the opportunity to connect with students on a relation-al level!

• While at camp, students will be transported by “shuttles” at least 3 times a day. We will NOT leave any students behind in the condos. During free time, the “shuttle” will run on a schedule to transport students and adults to different locations.

• SCHEDULING (YOUR PART):• Please be punctual for all scheduled events! Please have the

students in your condo remain punctual as well.• Please wake your students up each morning if necessary.• After Breakfast, we will not return to our condos until lunch-

time. (See Schedule)• Rec Time will be on the Rec field each morning and we will

use each of you to help facilitate, referee, monitor, chaper-one, etc. We will be playing games such as volleyball, kickball, ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee-in-a-can, etc.

• Worship: Please be an ACTIVE participant in our worship and speaking times. These students are watching YOU!

• Hot Topics: 6 church leaders teach these classes to all stu-dents each day after morning worship from 11:00 – 12:00pm. These classes include: Prayer, Breaking Bad (Addictions), No Fear, Where will you be in 10 years?, Go Fish (Sharing Your

Faith), Money Management. For all other leaders, please be on patrol during this time and/or participate in a Hot Topic class.

• Free Time: Each morning we will have a leadership meeting to discuss the day’s activities. At that time, each of you will volunteer to chaperone one of the free time options. (exp: Beach, Pools, Rec Field, Pool Park)

• Break Out sessions are designed for you to facilitate con-versation and dialogue about the students’ experiences and how they are feeling. Attempt to create a safe and controlled environment for students to share what’s on their hearts.

• Late Nite Party: Each night, we have planned a themed party! We may ask you to help decorate for a party. Even still, we will definitely want you to be present and be a part. Please see the schedule for the different themes and participate by dressing the part for each themed party!
