Your future begins today...
Welcome to the Barcelona College of Chiropractic (BCC), which will open in October 2009. Our 5 year full-time programme will provide you with all the skills and knowledge required in order to become an outstanding chiropractor with a unique understanding of both health sciences and the body’s innate ability to heal.
Today, many people are disenchanted with certain aspects of mainstream health care and are searching for less invasive methods. Chiropractic leads the global move toward a more natural, holistic and integrated approach to health. Additionally, the BCC strives to meet the growing public demand for caring, compassionate health care providers who offer safe, affordable, drug-free health care. You can be part of this 21st Century revolution.
Chiropractic consists of three pillars – science, art, and philosophy. At the BCC our focus is on teaching a curriculum balanced around these three key pillars. An expert academic team, in collaboration with academic consultants and experienced chiropractors are developing this curriculum.
Enthusiasm for the BCC project in the broader health care community is reflected by the fact that the fund raising, needed to support the project, has advanced rapidly. The BCC is a private institution, backed by a non-profit government registered Foundation (Fundación Privada Quiropráctica), which has a signed collaborative agreement with one of Spain´s leading public universities – the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (www.upf.edu).
Thank you for enquiring about studying chiropractic at the BCC. Given chiropractic’s position as a world leader in the provision of natural and safe health care, there has never been a better time to become a chiropractor.
Adrian Wenban, B.Sc., B.App.Sc., M.Med.Sc., MACC.SCB Coordinator
Since its inception in 1895, chiropractic has grown to become thelargest natural health care profession in the world. Chiropractors strive to restore health and quality of life by optimising the body’sinnate self-healing abilities.
Chiropractors train for a minimum of five years, working with their hands to locate and correct imbalances in the spine known as ‘vertebral subluxations’. Vertebral subluxationsdirectly impact the nervous system and adversely affect thefunction and health of the body. By correcting, or ‘adjusting’, vertebral subluxations chiropractors strive to help people of all ages to be at their best.

STUDENT PACKWithin each person exists an internal, or Innate Intelligence. This natural wisdom, when allowed to flow freely from the brain over the nerves to all parts of the body creates a healthy body and a healthy individual. As a Chiropractor, it is my privilege to move the bones of the spinal column in order to free up the flow of this vital force. This is what allows each patient, regardless of age, condition, or c i r c u m s t a n c e t h e opportunity to heal naturally by connecting with their internal doctor.
I love shar ing this message of life and human potential!
