    TODAYS SITUATION A new middle school is needed in the

    Bethesda-Chevy Chase cluster to relieveoverutilization of Westland MS and to

    allow Grade 6 students at Chevy Chaseand North Chevy Chase elementaryschools to be served in a middle school.

    The new middle school is scheduled to

    open August 2017, and is included in theFY 20132018 CIP.
