In this context we would like to inform you that the event will be conducted according to CBSE Rules & Regulations prescribed in www.cbsesports.in. For detailed information please find attached annexure A, B, C, D, E & F.

ANNEXURE – B

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS A copy of Annexure E & F (attached) to be submitted by all participating schools. Team Manager / Coaches shall provide the required documents for verification in original, if asked for by

the controller. Team photo with school principal duly countersigned by the concerned school Principal shall be produced

at the time of entry in the school campus. Participants studying in class IX and above shall provide CBSE Registration Number. Identity Cards to be brought by the students and coaches duly stamped and signed by the School Principal. Proof of the payment of CBSE Annual Sports fee for the year 2017-18. Participating girls should be escorted by female Escort(s) (Manager/Coach)

ANNEXURE – C

GENERAL GUIDELINES Opening Ceremony shall be on Friday Dec 1st , 2017 9:00 am. Mandatory to be attended by all. Boarding and Lodging facilities will be provided from November 30th – December 4th, 2017. Schools must

intimate the host school by email if boarding & lodging facility is required in school premises. Pick & drop facility shall be made available, requisitions to be made well & advance. Please note that the mess facility shall be available from November 30, 2017 (Dinner) to December 4, 2017 (Breakfast).

Security money Rs. 2500 to be deposited (in cash) at the time of registration, which is refundable after charging the damage (if any) at the time of departure along with Rs. 350 (cash only) per person per day for, boarding and lodging including bedding.

Note the schedule for the mandatory meeting of team managers and coaches to cover preliminary remarks/guidelines / draw/fixtures. Nov 30, 2017 5:00 pm Teams without proper eligibility forms will not be allowed to participate in the championship.

Please carry the following documents duly filled and signed by the Principal valid for the current year. Participants from Class X / XII must carry their class IX / XI Board Registration Cards respectively. Participants from Class XI must carry their X Class mark sheet issued by CBSE. Participants from other classes must carry their birth certificates issued by Municipal Corporation.

No team will be allowed to participate without an escorting Team Manager/ Coach/Physical Education Teacher duly authorized by the Principal of the participating school.

The decision of the referee / technical committee shall be final. No photographs or video recording other than that of the official camera will be considered for any

reference. Protest, if any, has to be submitted in writing by the designated team Coach or Manager to the Chief

Referee, within one Hour of the announcement of results. The decision of the Jury of Appeal shall be final. The Host School will not be responsible for any mishappening during the championship or during journey. Participants are requested not to bring valuable items such as jewellery, mobile, camera, iPods etc. as use

of these items in the campus is prohibited. The code of conduct for the player shall be strictly observed on and off the field. All the players must report 15 minutes in advance in proper kit for the match. Consumption of NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD, ALCOHOL, TOBACCO CHEWING AND SMOKING is strictly

prohibited during the meet and the violators would be immediately asked to leave the premises/meet. Team manager will be responsible for the conduct of team on the field and in the school premises.

Indiscipline by an athlete/a member will lead to disqualification and the athlete/member may be asked to leave the premises immediately.

The Organizers reserve the right to debar a participant / Coach / Manager from the competition arena for unruly behavior/ interference in the smooth conduct of events of the competition.

Participation Certificates will be given to all.

BASKETBALL

(BOYS & GIRLS)

1. The tournament will be conducted according to the Basketball Federation of India rules. 2. The number of players representing a school shall not more than twelve.

3. The First position winning team from each Cluster will qualify to participate in National level tournament.

4. At National level, the matches shall be conducted on league cum knock out basis.

5. At National level: All the teams reporting may be divided into different pools in such a way that by and large no pool is of less than four teams. From each pool, the two teams emerging on top will qualify to play the knock-out stage matches.

6. The match to decide the third and fourth positions shall also be played.

7. In any match, played on knock out basis including the final, if there is a tie, extension of five minutes shall continue to be given till the game is decided.

8. In case of a tie in matches played on league basis, the following procedure shall decide the winner, runner-up etc.

i) The team which has beaten the other team in the league matches shall be the winner.

ii) The tie between more than two teams will be decided on the basis of points scored and points against. The team securing the greatest quotient will be the winner. The points scored for and against shall be counted only in the matches played between the teams in tie.

iii) If the tie still persists, the formula will be points scored – points against. The team with highest difference is declared the winner. Again the scoring will be counted in the matches played between the teams in tie.

9. The number “6” size Ball will be used for Girls‟ matches.

10. A team shall be prepared to play more than two matches in a day.

11. All participating teams shall carry with them two sets of playing kit (uniform), one set of light color and the other set of dark color.

12. The team that has been named first in the fixture, will sit on the left side of the Official’s Table, and shall score towards the right side of the court.

13. The school Organizing Cluster level competition shall take a Group Photo of the teams that have qualified to participate at National level competition. The photo shall be signed by the host school Principal and forwarded to the school organizing next level of competition along with the original entry Performa.

14. Protest if any, must be submitted in writing along with the fee within 20 min after the declaration of the result.

15. In case a team intends to protest against the opposite team; the Captain of team that intends to protest, must sign the score sheet.

16. In case a team forfeits & walks out of the court without completing the match, it shall lose the right to submit any protest and shall be debarred from rest of the tournament.
