Priority project within chapter 11 of the Baltic Sea Strategy which is coordinated by Lithuania and Sweden
BTO coordinator: Swedish Transport Administration on behalf of Swedish Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications

Total budget: € 1,000,000

BALTIC TRANSPORT OUTLOOK
The overall aim is to achieve better prerequisites for national long term infrastructure planning in the Baltic Sea region to make the region more accessible and competitive.

A BSR core network should be based on issues and criteria relevant for the BSR.

Enhance communication between BSR states and facilitate tradeImprove cohesion in the regionImprove mobility and accessibility Ensure integration of the transport system in the whole BSREnsure efficient ties with neighbouring countriesFacilitate sustainable transport solutionsBe multi-modal and include terminals of trans-national importanceInclude non geographic attributes aiming at enhancing socio-economic efficiency and sustainability, e.g. Green corridors.
