Keynote Speaker
His Excellency Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro
Minister of Industry and Commerce:
"The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is keen to follow up and care
for the people of Bahrain who are involved in training programs for
projects under the umbrella of the small and medium industries sector,
for recognizing the importance of this sector and its important role in
strengthening the economic structure of Bahrain, and pride in the
growing public demand from young people on these programs,
creative.
We are aware that the achievement of sustainable development
comes through the empowerment of individuals in economic terms,
and is measured at the level of success of development by providing
support for human capital in the first place."
AIESEC, the world’s largest not-for-profit, non-political student-run organization, is the
international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership
potential for them to have a positive impact in society.
With presence in 110 countries AIESEC provides its members with an integrated
development experience comprised of leadership opportunities (around 10000
yearly), international internships (annually around 12000) and participation in a global
learning environment.
About AIESEC
AIESEC in Bahrain
5 years of experience 2 Local chapters 100 Members from 9 universities 100+
exchanges with:
USA, Switzerland, Jordan, Turkey, Italy, India, Indonesia, Colombia, Malta and
Brazil.
Today’s organizations are focusing on sustainable development of our societies
through the products they provide or their CSR strategies. Some organizations lack
the way of reaching to communities' young representatives, and some would want
to embrace new innovative ideas to take the lead in activating this sustainable
development, which made The Youth to Business forum act as a platform to support
such initiatives.
Bahrain Youth to Business Forum asked the question:
“How can today's organizations in Bahrain grow and have a sustainable
impact?”
As part of AIESEC’s Gulf Conference, AIESEC in Bahrain organized the first Youth to
Business Forum on the 2nd of November 2011, for 100+ delegates from different
universities in Bahrain along with AIESEC members from Bahrain and the Gulf.
Bahrain Youth to Business Forum acted as an exciting platform for a special dialogue
between representatives of youth and the business world that discussed and explored
issues and solutions around topics related to the economy of Bahrain.
How did it work?
At this unique event we framed the conversations with a question and we aimed to
create a space where all delegates and guests can connect and explore the question
and how it affects different topics of discussion. Business representatives did this through
keynote and highlighted speakers, interactive workshops, open spaces, and a panel
discussion. Partners got the opportunity to position their brand between the youth
attending the event.

Delegate Feedback
"The youth to Business Forum was an eye-
opener to many issues that we are facing
and which, unfortunately, we ourselves
are responsible of. Simple action steps in
asking responsibility for these issues and
who in Bahrain, and in some cases the
world, is implementing those steps gave
my friends and I faith and trust, in what
more we can do. Meeting people who
are passionate about CSR was a great
motivation and push to ensure a
profitable yet caring business" Mona Emad

"The Youth to Business Forum was an
extraordinary event that happened in
Bahrain last month, it created a platform
for youth from different countries to
interact and give their views on CSR
related subjects through a Bahraini
economics view. Personally I developed
a sense of awareness about what type of
ideas suit Bahrain, and got inspirited by
delegates and speakers" Mahmood Zeyad
