solution would be, to connect in some form of partnership and to work on their self-sustainability, wise usage of resources, investing in R&D that are related to renewable natural sources and security of food

Construction companies for self-sufficient buildings, agriculture companies, companies that will wisely manage natural resources and R&D companies

They should be owned by citizens of countries in question (however there should be regulations that will prevent abusing the position); size depends on country and sector in which company operates

Establishment of transnational companies (in certain sectors), to manage resources better

We should take steps and in the beginning, we should operate locally and then, later on, expand
