• It covers an area of 20,273 square kilometres.

• Slovenia borders Italy to the west, Croatia to the south and east, Hungary to the northeast, and Austria to the north, and also has a small portion of coastline along the Adriatic Sea.

• It`s a country in Central and Southestrn Europe touching the Alps and bordering the Mediterranean.

• The longest river is Sava.

• The highest mountain is Triglav (2864m).

• It has 46,6 km long coastline.

• The capital and largest city is Ljubljana.

• We have seven landscape and this are Styria, Carinthia, Prekmurska, Dolenska, Inner, Gorenjska, Littoral.

• The official language is Slovenian, in areas with population synthesis occupancy Italian and Hungarian national minorities, the Italian or Hungarian language.

• Slovenia has got a population 2,05 million.

HISTORY

• Slovenia became Republic 20 years ago. • Before it fell under Yugoslavia, Austria

Mengore, Habsburg Monarchy, Carantani, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) and Federative People's Republic of Yugoslavia (FLRY).

• During the eighth century, from Salzburg and Aquileia started to spread Christianity.
