About AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise for Microsoft Dynamic CRM empowers business users to be more productive when preparing for customer interaction on the go. Pipeline displays all open opportunities in a consolidated interface for mobile devices, providing quick and easy ways to adjust opportunity probabilities and close dates and display a visual graph of relevant opportunities for yourself, a region, a team, or a set of particular users.

AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise supports Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 (Online and On-Premises) and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 (Online and On-Premises).

Required Permissions To install and use Pipeline Enterprise Solution properly, ensure that the permission requirements are met:

• The user who imports Pipeline Enterprise Solution to Microsoft Dynamics CRM has the System Administrator security role for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

• The user who manages Pipeline profiles has the System Administrator security role for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

• The user who uses Pipeline for Microsoft Dynamics CRM has the AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise User Account security role for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Overview of Installation and Configuration To properly install AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the following steps must be performed in this order. Click the link to jump to the corresponding section.

Use the system administrators for Microsoft Dynamics CRM to complete the following steps:

1. Importing the Pipeline Enterprise Solution

2. Registering a License

3. Creating a Profile

4. Editing Profiles

5. Granting the Security Role

Use the system administrators or the AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise user accounts to complete the following steps:

6. Install Pipeline on your Windows 8 Operating System.

After you complete the steps above, Pipeline will use the AvePoint Pipeline profile configured in Dynamics and load the configuration. If the steps above are not configured, Pipeline will use default settings.

Importing the Pipeline Enterprise Solution The Pipeline Enterprise Solution must be imported into Dynamics before any of its functionality can be leveraged. Follow the steps below to import the Pipeline Enterprise Solution into Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013/2011.

1. Log into Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013/2011.

*Note: The user who logs into Microsoft Dynamics must have the System Administrator security role for Microsoft Dynamics CRM to import the Pipeline solution.

2. Navigate to SETTINGS > Customization > Solutions.

3. Click Import on the ribbon to import the solution. The Select Solution Package pop-up window appears.

4. In the Select Solution Package pop-up window, click Browse. Locate and select the AvePoint_Pipeline_Enterprise_Managed_Serial_Number.zip file that contains the solution.

5. Click Next, the Solution Information page appears.

6. In the Solution Information page, verify the solution Name, Publisher, and Package Type.

7. If desired, you can view the details of the solution package.

a. Click View solution package details for more details.

• Solution Details – Displays the version, package type, and so on.

• Publisher Details –Displays the solutions components that will be imported.

b. Click Close to return to the Solution Information page.

c. Click Next to continue.

8. To complete the import process, select the Enable any SDK message processing steps included in the solution checkbox shown below.

*Note: If the checkbox described above is not selected, then the steps to install the plug-in will not be activated and the process cannot be completed.

9. Click Import and wait for the operation to complete.

10. After the solution imports successfully, click Close to close the Importing Solution page.

11. Verify that the AvePointPipelineEnterprise solution is displayed in the All Solutions list.

Registering a License After importing the AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise Solution, an Enterprise license must be applied. Refer to the instructions below:

1. After importing the solution, refresh Microsoft Dynamics CRM. 2. Click SETTINGS on the ribbon, and then select AVEPOINT PIPELINE PROFILES from the drop-

down menu.

3. Click the more actions ( ) button on the ribbon, and then select License Manager from the drop-down menu. The Pipeline Enterprise Registration pop-up window appears.

4. Open the license file using Notepad and copy all of the content within it into the blank text box on the Pipeline Enterprise Registration interface.

5. Click Apply to apply the license. The Pipeline Enterprise License Agreement pop-up window appears.

6. Select the I accept the terms in the license agreement checkbox, and then click Save.

7. After the license applied successfully, the license information is displayed in the License Details area.

• Product – The product information that the license is applied to.

• License Type – Display the license type information.

o Demo – The validity period is 30 days.

o Enterprise – The formal license to register the product. The validity period in this License is according to your purchase.

• Number of User Licenses – The total number of the users who can use the Pipeline solution is displayed here. If there are more active users than the allowed number of users, the excess number of those users will be displayed in red. Contact an AvePoint representative to purchase an appropriate license.

• Organization GUID – The GUID of the organization that has installed the Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This is used when you want to purchase the Enterprise license.

• Validity Period – The validity period that you can use the Pipeline Enterprise solution.

Creating a Profile Use the AvePoint Pipeline profiles to customize your own AvePoint Pipeline app. You can select the desired functions to use in the app while configuring these profiles.

To create a new AvePoint Pipeline Profile, refer to the instructions below:

1. In the AvePoint Pipeline Profile tab, click New on the ribbon.

2. In the pop-up window, configure the following settings:

• Name – Enter a name for the profile you are about to create.

• Owner – Specify an owner for this profile. The default owner is the login user of Dynamics. Click the search ( ) button to select another user or team to own the profile.

• Profile Status – Specify a status for this profile.

o Publish to Owner – The profile can only be used by the owner.

o Publish to Everyone – The profile can be used by other users of Dynamics.

• Description – Enter an optional description for this profile.

3. Click Save to save the newly created profile.

Helpful Notes for Profiles The following situations explain when and which AvePoint Pipeline Profile will be used by Pipeline.

• Only the Publish to Owner profiles exist in Dynamics

o If the user that logs into Pipeline is the owner of one of the profiles, the profile whose owner is this user will be used by Pipeline.

o If the user that logs into Pipeline is the owner of more than one profile, the profile whose owner is this user and modified time is the latest will be used by Pipeline.

o If the user that logs into Pipeline is not the owner of the Publish to Owner profiles, the default profile will be used by Pipeline.

• If only the Publish to Everyone profiles exist in Dynamics, the profile with the latest modified time will be used by Pipeline.

• Both the Publish to Owner and Public to Everyone profiles exist in Dynamics

o If the user that logs into Pipeline is the owner of more than one Publish to Owner profile, the Publish to Owner profile whose owner is this user and modified time is the latest will be used by Pipeline.

o If the user that logs into Pipeline is the owner of one of the Publish to Owner profiles, the profile whose owner is this user will be used by Pipeline.

o If the user that logs into Pipeline is not the owner of the Publish to Owner profile, the Publish to Everyone profile that has the latest modified time will be used by Pipeline.

• If neither Publish to Owner nor Publish to Everyone profile exists in Dynamics, the default profile will be used by Pipeline.

Editing Profiles After creating a new profile, edit the profile by clicking Edit on the ribbon. A pop-up window appears. Configure the settings as the instructions below:

• Name – Enter a name for the profile you are about to create.

• Owner – Specify an owner for this profile. The default owner is the login user of Dynamics. Click the search ( ) button to select another user or team to own the profile.

• Profile Status – Specify a status for this profile.

o Publish to Owner – The profile can only be used by the owner.

o Publish to Everyone – The profile can be used by other users of Dynamics.

• Description – Enter an optional description for this profile.

Click the more actions ( ) button, and then select Configure Pipeline to edit the profile settings.

1. View Page – Specify the views and the filter conditions for the opportunities that you want to use in Pipeline.

a. View Management – Specify the views for the opportunities that you want to use in Pipeline. Drag the view you want to use in Pipeline from the View Explorer. All of the views you can use in Pipeline are displayed in the View Explorer.

b. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified views in Pipeline.

c. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

*Note: At least one view is required for Pipeline. Otherwise the page will not be turned to the next page even after clicking Next.

d. Filter Configuration – Specify the filter conditions you want to use in Pipeline. You can view different opportunities by selecting different filters in Pipeline. Drag the filter conditions you want to use in Pipeline from the Field Explorer. All of the filter conditions you can use in Pipeline are displayed in the Field Explorer.

e. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified filter conditions in Pipeline.

f. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

2. Pipeline Page – Specify the bubble chart configurations, opportunities adjustments, opportunities list settings, and opportunities details that you want to use in Pipeline.

a. Bubble Chart – Specify a way to display the probability of opportunities in the bubble chart of Pipeline. Drag a field you want to use in Pipeline from the Field Explorer. All of the fields you can use in Pipeline are displayed in the Field Explorer.

b. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified probability settings in Pipeline.

c. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

d. Adjust Opportunity – Specify a way to adjust opportunities in Pipeline. Two checkboxes are as follows:

o Adjust opportunities according to estimated close date – Adjusts opportunities in Pipeline according to the estimated close date of these opportunities.

o Adjust opportunities according to probability – Adjusts opportunities in Pipeline according to the probability of these opportunities.

You can select either of these two checkboxes or select both of them.

e. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified adjustment method in Pipeline.

f. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

g. Opportunities List – Specify the fields to display in the opportunities list of Pipeline. You can add a field by dragging one from the Field Explorer and place the field to the desired place.

*Note: The field that you drag from the Field Explorer list must be the same type of field as the destination. For example, if the type of the Topic field is String, you can only drag a field whose Type is String from the Field Explorer.

h. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified fields in Pipeline.

i. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

*Note: The Topic, Owner, Revenue, Probability, and Close Date fields must be configured. Otherwise, the page will not be turned to the next page even after clicking Next.

j. Opportunity Details – Specify the fields to display in the opportunity details page of Pipeline. You can add a field by dragging one from the Field Explorer and place the field to the desired place.

k. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified Contact details in Pipeline.

l. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

3. After editing the profile, click Save to save changes to this profile.

Granting the Security Role After the AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise solution is imported to Dynamics, the AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise User Account role will be automatically created in Dynamics. Only users who have this security role or a security role with higher permissions can use AvePoint Pipeline Profile in Pipeline. Users whose permissions are less than this security role will use the default profile in Pipeline. Refer to the instructions below to assign security roles to users.

*Note: Users who have the System Administrator security role can assign security roles to users.

1. Click SETTINGS on the ribbon, and then select ADMINISTRATION from the drop-down menu.

2. Click Users or Teams.

3. Select a user/team and then click MANAGE ROLES on the ribbon.

4. The Manage Team Roles or Manage User Roles pop-up window appears.

5. Select the AvePoint Pipeline Enterprise User Account checkbox or other role’s checkbox as desired.

6. Click OK to save changes.

7. Click Administration on the ribbon.

8. Click Security Roles. The Security Roles page appears.
