606 FINISHThe world’s finest 16 micron wool is blended, double carded, and extra hand wet felted to

create this luxurious wool felt. Our skilled craftsmen add a light shellac and apply a suede finish

by hand that results in a hat with shape retention while keeping a moderately stiff, luxurious feel.

LANOLUX®

Superior wool fibers are sanded and finished to provide a ‘sueded’ and unique hand This allows

for excellent shape retention and durability but with a beautiful fine hand. One hundred and fifty

years of hat making experience went into developing this U.S. made exceptional hat.

LITEFELT®

In the 1980’s, The Bollman Hat Company invented a revolutionary process that takes a natural

unstiffened premium wool felt hat and treats it with a water repellant and shape retentive proprietary

process. This makes LiteFelt® a tough and indestructible choice for the Bailey® Man of Style.

Often copied and never duplicated, LiteFelt® products are our most famous finish, combining

style and function. This is our best selling product and is only American made.

POLISHED WOOL FELTOur Polished Wool Felt is brushed and polished for a beautifully rich sheen and silky texture.

SUPERIOR FUR FELTSuperior Fur Felts are made in America’s oldest factory in Adamstown, Pennsylvania from the

worlds best European fur felt hoods. This hat starts with a blend of 40% beaver and premium

rabbit and hares fur. The world’s best felting techniques are then used to create an ultra-thin felt

achieving the finest quality and lightest weight available in the world today. Our special hand

sanded techniques are applied to make these hats the softest, lightest and most luxurious offering

in the entire collection. These hats look best when worn in and finger shaped to reveal your own

individual style.

VELOUR FUR FELTVelour Fur Felts start with the finest rabbit and hares fur blend from Europe. Our ‘velouring’

techniques give hats a raised hair finish and are then sheared to reveal a beautiful plush pile and soft,

elegant hand and look.

ELITE FINISHElite felts start with 16 micron sheep's wool, the finest available. We give this twice the carding

action and wet felting to bring this luxury wool to life. No shellac is used to preserve the softness.

A special brim and crown sanding is performed by skilled hat makers using proprietary processes

to create and retain the world's finest feeling wool felt ever. Elite Stiffened felts have an added

'hand cooked' shellac to provide a stiffness like hats were made when Bailey started in 1922.
