Tickets are complimentary and include bus transport to and from the game. For those interested more information is provided further in the newsletter. School Council The Nicholson PS. School Council is an important part of our school structure and governance. The role of School Council is highly valued as they provide advice, support and input to the current and future direction of the school. School Council meets eight times throughout the year and meetings run for no more than 2 hours. Any parent is eligible to be elected and hence we ask ALL parents to consider this opportunity to be involved in your school. We have a number of parent vacancies available and we encourage any parent interested to speak with the current councillors. Nominations for school council elections are now open and will close 4pm Friday 13th March. Self - Nomination Forms are attached to the newsletter. You can also find more information on the Department of Educations website. School Council Annual General meeting will be held on Wednesday 18th March commencing at 5.15pm. Parent /Teacher Catch ups Time preferences are due back at school. Notification of allocated times will be sent home this week. Essendon Football Club Visit Players from the Essendon Football Club will be visiting our school from 10am-1pm this Friday. While they are here they will run a footy clinic and play some football with the kids. Ministers Visit Next Thursday 12th March, Minister Jane Garrett will be visiting the school. The Minister will be arriving around 2pm to meet our students and have a tour of the school. She is also keen to meet parents to have a chat over afternoon tea in the hall around 2.15pm. We would love to see as many of our parents come along and spend some time talking with the Minister. Enjoy the long weekend! MINIROOS KICK-OFF PROGRAMS! Bairnsdale Soccer Club will be hosting Aldi MiniRoos programs in BAIRNSDALE, LAKES ENTRANCE and ORBOST!

BAIRNSDALE: Saturdays 9.15am onwards (BARC) 4-9 year olds (commencing Saturday 14th March)

LAKES ENTRANCE: Wednesdays 4pm onwards (St Brendan’s Primary School Hall) 4-9 year olds (commencing Wednesday 18th March)

ORBOST: Thursdays 4.45pm onwards (Orbost Secondary College) 4-9 year olds (commencing Thursday 19th

March)

FEES - $100 for an 8 week program New participants will receive a soccer ball, a drink bottle, shin guards and a carry pack.
