DEPOSIT PAYMENTS: A non-refundable land deposit of A$175 perperson is required for coach tours, A$105 per person for self-driveand city holidays. Deposits are required within 5 days of makingthe reservation. Early booking discounts require higher deposits.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:We accept MasterCard and Visa only.Your travel agent needs to provide us with the cardholder’sinformation, including billing address and must have the holder’ssignature on file. Your online transactions are secure and allpayment details are entered on a secure page and transmittedover Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). As an additional securitymeasure we require CVV2/CVC2 verification on all credit cardand debit card transactions.

FINAL PAYMENTS: Full payment must be made no later than70 days prior to departure date for coach tours and self-drives.CIE Tours accepts payment by above credit cards or ElectronicBank Transfer. If payment is not received as scheduled, yourreservation will automatically cancel and deposit paymentbecome forfeit.

DOCUMENTATION: Tours will incur a fee of A$35 per reservationif they require physical documentation and welcome pack/flightbag etc. Subsequently, we provide electronic documents free ofcharge for all bookings. Flight bag can be collected at receptionof your first nights hotel.

LAND REVISION FEE: Any revision to land arrangements madeafter the original booking has been processed will incur aA$35 handling fee per booking. We cannot accept revisionswithin 14 days of departure or once we have issued documents.

PARTICIPANT CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations must be advisedin writing (by mail, fax or e-mail) to CIE Tours prior to tourdeparture during normal business hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pmGMT/BST, Mondays through Fridays). TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN: Unfortunately we are unable to offertravel insurance policies to persons travelling on our coach tours, butwe do require all passengers to have the appropriate best travelinsurance policy. Please ask your local insurance provider/ bank.

TOUR MEMBERSHIP: To promote an enriching travel experience,CIE Tours reserves the right to reject any client whose conduct isincompatible with the interest of the tour group.

TRAVELLERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: Passengers necessitatingunique attention must advise CIE Tours at time of booking.Passengers who require particular assistance must travel witha qualified travel companion as CIE Tours drivers and guidescannot provide individualized help. As our coaches are notequipped with wheelchair ramps, all tour members must be able tomount 3 or 4 steps into coach. CIE Tours is not responsible fordenial of services by any of our suppliers. Due to space restrictions,passengers wishing to take wheel chairs, oxygen tanks, walkersor other assistive devices must send a request in writing forapproval. CIE Tours reserves the right to remove any individualfrom a tour who has not provided the advance notification.

COACH TRANSPORTATION: Coach tours are usually operated by48 seat motor coaches. When passenger numbers are low, asmaller coach may be used.

TOUR DIRECTOR: The entire land portion of all motorcoach toursis conducted by a professional driver/guide and/or tour director asindicated for each tour. When numbers on a coach tour fall below25 persons the operator reserves the right to substitute our tourdirector with a qualified driver/guide.

ACCOMMODATION: Land arrangements are provided asdescribed in each tour program. CIE Tours reserves the rightto substitute hotels for accommodations in similar categories.Accommodation in B&Bs (farmhouses, town and country homes)is clean, comfortable and includes private bathrooms.

MEALS: Meals are provided as specified in each tour program.Dinners in hotels are on a table d’hóte basis.

VISITS, ENTERTAINMENT, ITINERARIES AND OTHER FEATURES:CIE Tours reserves the right to substitute visits, entertainment andother features when establishments are closed or cannotbe visited for reasons beyond our control.

CIE TOURS CANCELLATIONS: If it becomes necessary to cancel acoach tour prior to departure, CIE Tours will offer the next available

date at no additional land cost or will make a full refund of allmonies paid to CIE Tours. CIE Tours cannot accept responsibilityfor any additional costs or fees relating to such a tour booking or forany cancellation penalties due to non-refundable airfares.

GUARANTEED COACH TOURS: Due to events beyond our control,it may be necessary for CIE Tours to cancel a guaranteed coachtour. Under these circumstances we will offer either the nextavailable date at no additional land cost or 100% refund of allpayments made to CIE Tours. In addition, we will reimburse orabsorb documented airline penalties/fare changes not exceedingA$250 per person, even if the air is purchased independently.

LUGGAGE: Handling of one piece of luggage per person is includedin the cost of all coach tours. Only one suitcase per person ispermitted and size should not exceed 30 x 20 x 10 inches andweight should be under 50 lbs. Luggage is carried at owner’srisk throughout the tour unless insured. Hand baggage and smallarticles such as coats, umbrellas or cameras are entirely in thecare of the passengers. Boot space in self-drive cars is limited sopack lightly, preferably using soft-sided suitcases.

TIPS: Tips for personal services and to tour directors and driversare not included in tour cost and left to your discretion.

CHILDREN: Children under 8 are not permitted to travel on coachtours. Children 8-18 are charged the full adult rate (less 10%discount) and must travel with an adult.

SMOKING POLICY: Smoking is not allowed on the motorcoachbut frequent stops are made throughout the day.

NOT INCLUDED: All items of a personal nature (room service,beverages, telephone charges, laundry, special food requests,etc.) and meals not specified on the tour itinerary are not includedand must be paid by the passenger.

PASSPORTS & VISAS: It is the travellers’ responsibility to obtainthe correct travel documentation (passport, visa, identifications)for the destination(s) to be visited. CIE Tours is not responsiblefor penalties incurred for tickets, international or domestic, notissued by CIE Tours due to schedule and/or flight changes.

UNUSED TOUR ARRANGEMENTS: CIE Tours cannot make refundsor exchanges for unused accommodations, services or featuresof any tour unless agreed upon in writing prior to departure.

CLAIMS OR DISPUTES: You should submit to CIE Tours inwriting no later than 28 days after the end of the tour.

LAW: Passenger contract with CIE Tours is subject exclusivelyto Irish Law and Jurisdiction for Irish Tours or English Law andJurisdiction for British Tours.

CAR RENTAL INSURANCE: Car rental charges include CollisionDamage Waiver (CDW), theft protection (TP), unlimited mileageand local taxes. Please read the following clauses closely to seehow the hirer can purchase supplementary insurances. CollisionDamage Waiver indemnifies the driver against damage to therental car. The following deductible amounts vary depending oncar rented and are not covered by CDW w1,200-w2,500.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: The various charges listed below mustall be paid at start of hire in Ireland.

SUPER CDW: To insure against CDW deductible amountsabove, the hirer may purchase a Super CDW. Super CDW doesnot cover tires, wheels, fuel contamination or loss of keys.Daily cost: w12.00-22.00.

DRIVER/BAGGAGE PROTECTION (DBP/PAI): DBP protects thedriver. Daily cost: w5.50.

AGE LIMITS: 25-75 years. Certain conditions apply for drivers 76-79 years. Drivers aged 23-24 years are restricted to car types A,B & E and pay a daily surcharge of w26.00.

EXTRA DRIVER(S) SUPPLEMENT: Daily cost per additionaldriver: w9.50.

CAR RENTAL TAXES (VAT) & VEHICLE LICENSE FEE: Included inbasic rental cost.

DRIVING LICENSE: Drivers must have one year’s driving experi-ence and produce a valid driving license with no endorsements,issued in their state/country of residence.

PETROL/PARKING FEES: Hirer is responsible.

CAR RENTAL CATEGORIES: Car rental companies reserve the rightto substitute cars for other models in similar category.

CHAUFFEUR-DRIVE CARS: Rates are calculated on a maximumdriving time of 8 hours per day.

RESPONSIBILITY: CIE Tours International, 35 Lower Abbey Street,Dublin 1 are not responsible for any personal injury, propertydamage or other loss a passenger incurs on any tour arising fromacts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company,hotel, car rental company, subcontractor or other person ororganisation, whether or not such company is rendering anyservices supplied on the tour. All tickets and vouchers are issuedand supplied subject to the foregoing and to any and all termsand conditions under which transportation and services areprovided. Italian and Eastern European coach tours are operatedfor CIE Tours by Kompas Holidays International and EuropeanRiver Cruises by Amadeus Waterways. Without limitationCIE Tours is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, orincidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay,inconvenience or irregularity of any kind which may beoccasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control,including, without limitation any willful or negligent act, failureto act, breach of contract or violation of local law or regulationof any third party such as an airline, train, hotel, bus, taxi, van,local ground handler or guide, financial default or insolvency ofany supplier and/or restaurant which is, to, or does supply anygoods or services for this trip. CIE Tours is not liable for any loss,injury, death or inconvenience due to delay or changes inschedule, overbooking of accommodation, default of any thirdparty, attacks by animals, sickness, the lack of appropriatemedical care, evacuation to same, if necessary, weather, strikes,acts of God or government, acts of terrorism, or the threat thereof,force majeure, war, quarantine, epidemics, or the threat thereof,criminal activity, or any other cause beyond its control. CIE Toursreserves the right at its sole discretion to alter the itinerary as itmay deem necessary or advisable. CIE Tours reserves the rightat its sole discretion to decline to accept or retain any passengeron any of its tours if it deems accepting or retaining any suchperson as being detrimental to the tour. In the event anypassenger is removed from a trip, CIE Tours’ only obligation isto refund to that person that portion of the payment allocableto unused services. Any disclaimer of liability by CIE Tours underthis clause is enforceable to the maximum extent permittedby applicable law. BINDING ARBITRATION: Any disputes concerning this contract,the brochure or other literature about your trip or the trip itselfshall be resolved solely and exclusively by binding arbitrationaccording to the then current commercial rules of Ireland. Anysuch arbitration will take place in Dublin, Ireland. In any sucharbitration, the substantive (but not procedural) law of Ireland.The arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agencyshall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating tothe interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, orformation of this contract, including but not limited to any claimthat all or any part of this contract is void or voidable.
