During his stewardship,the SBA exceeded all previous records in small business loans,women and minority owned business support, disaster relie andprivate-public sector procurement opportunities. Barreto directedthe delivery o fnancial and business development programs to

Americas entrepreneurs rom a portolio o direct, guaranteed and disaster loans totaling morethan $45 billion. Earlier this year he was appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to serve on theCaliornia Commission or Economic Development. Barreto also serves as the Chairman o TheLatino Coalition, a national organization that represents Latino interests with senior executives omany Fortune 500 companies and government agencies both ederal and local.

Mr. Barreto also serves as Chairman o Business Matchmaking, the nations leading non-proft small business procurement program. Business Matchmaking brings together countlessentrepreneurs, including women, minority and veteran owned small business owners withprocurement representatives o ederal and local government agencies and several hundred majorcorporations.
