Emergency Services• Current Issues –

– DEP working on air-curtain incinerators for debris removal and air quality issues (burn clean)

– Ordering generators for lift stations in Metro Orlando– Security is high to protect against looters and fulfilling traffic

missions– Base Camp will be located @ the North-bound rest area off of I-75

in Charlotte County– Deploying an additional DMAT unit to Fawcett Hospital– Deploying EMS units to 3 FL Hospital locations– Supplementing nursing staff at several locations & replenishing

backfill pool– Refilling oxygen supplies– Deployed Overhead Team for onsite health issues– Deploying port-o-lets at comfort stations and other locations– Fulfilling LE missions and coordinating between State LE, Local

• Current Operations –– 30 Comfort Stations up and running– 146 water trucks and 84 ice trucks have been tasked for deployment– 7 trucks load of food are located the LSAs waiting for deployment. – 125,000 MREs delivered to various sites– Florida Volunteer and Donation Center (1-800-FLHELP1) is

operational from 8 am to 8 pm– staff continue to match donations, both goods and volunteers to

needs identified• Unmet Needs –

– None at this time• Future Operations –

– Monitor inventory of resources and re-supply as needed.– Support efforts of disaster feeding organizations.– Work with USDA regarding supplying of commodities– The RRC will be operational on Thursday, 8/19/04– Maintain animal assessment teams in all counties

Counties to conduct recons– LSA continues operations at Lakeland location (Linder Regional Airport)– 1,101 Soldiers in support of local law enforcement/security missions – 202nd RHS (Engineers) conducting debris removal at Charlotte County

Airport and schools– 23 Rotary Wing and 2 Fixed Wing Aircraft Available continue recon,

humanitarian relief missions – 2 tactical satellite teams operational
