Because of YOU, Youth Venture received 569,728 points or 45% of $250,000. That means $120,268 to support new Venture teams, provide fellowship opportunities and grow our support of a truly global movement of young changemakers. A panel of judges will select a winning project from each of the 8 categories. Winning projects will receive a prize package full of technology products. Deadline: August 15, 2009 Youth Service Institute The YSI Conference will be held in Washington, DC on October 7th-9th. It will gather those interested in the youth service movement for training, networking and capacity building to develop effective programs and increase the number of community minded youth. Registration Deadline: September 9, 2009. Prudential Spirit of Community Award The Award recognizes youth in grades 5-12 for outstanding service to others at the local, state and national level. Students are eligible to receive various prizes if they are chosen as a Local Honoree, State Honoree or National Honoree. Deadline: November 2, 2009

When Chloe Maxmin started Climate Action Club in 2007 to advocate for environmental sustainability at her small high school in Maine, she had no idea that she was creating an environmental movement across the nation. 

Chloe created the social network First Here, Then Everywhere to unite young environmentalists to share their ideas and empower others to save the environment.

Congratulations to the Winners of the        Match Rugby Grants 

Throughout the month of June, 30 Youth Venture teams competed for 15 Match Rugby Grants of $1,000 each.  Nearly 10,000 votes were cast to determine the 15 winning teams. Check out the winners of the Match Rugby Grants!

Washington, DC Washington, DC Washington, DC Washington, DC Join YV team Minga for a workshop at Youth Venture's office on August 3rd from 4:00-6:00pm. Minga aims to raise awareness about the child sex trade and this summer the team is on a road trip to promote their new Let's Get Real campaign.

Youth Venture India Holds 2nd Annual Celebration

On June 21st, Youth Venture India celebrated 21 young Venturers at the Second Anuual Youth Venture Celebration. The primary purpose of the event was to recognize and showcase the stories of change that

Venturers have created throughout Mumbai.

Nearly 500 people from across Mumbai attended the event including: Ashoka Fellows, ASN members, donors, panelists, media, parents and friends.
