SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS
Admin
Those present were: Joe, Fred, Arnezia, Melissa, Jeremy, Susan, Matt.
John P. with H & I emailed his report to Susan to be read during ASC
meeting. John reported that a new Deputy was going to move into the
position at Gwinnett County Jail but they were continuing to show up for the
scheduled H & I meetings there in interim. It was suggested that PR may
need to go and talk with new Deputy to explain our traditions and
procedures for H & I. Joe B. said they could arrange that.
Joe B. with PR reported they had done a literature inventory and were
planning to give an order to Arnezia for PR Poster Drive and were planning
to print some Serenity Prayer Bookmarks for Gwinnett County Fair Booth
on color card stock with Helpline number on back.
Fred RCMA explained that they had received the minutes from Region.
Susan explained she had not received the Activities Calendar from Paul S.
She asked Joe if Region webservant could increase the size of files allowed
to be uploaded onto eeascna WordPress website. At present maximum
allowed file to upload is 8 mb and some minutes files and other types of files
were larger than that. Region webservant is increasing server space and
shifting to WordPress websites.
Jeremy asked all Admin Panel to stay a few minutes after the Area meeting
for further discussion.
H & I – See Attached Report
Treasurer – See Attached Report
PR/Phone Joe B. passed a signup sheet for PR Volunteers for PR Poster Drive and for
members to sign up for two hour blocks of time for Gwinnett County Fair
booth. He stressed that there is a need for bodies and that there is no clean
time requirement and members with less time would be paired with those
who were more experienced. The Fair Booth is a Regional PR Event and
that there would be members coming from West End, South Atlanta, and
North Atlanta to support this event as well as Region PR committee Trusted
Servants. He explained that September is Recovery Month and that Schools
would be doing Red Ribbon week Oct 21st through Oct 28
th. The first
training session for Fair Booth Volunteers will be on 8-16-14 and the 2nd
training would be on Sept 6th after poster drive during wrap up cook out at
Joe’s house. PR committee is asking members to donate convention items to
give away during Fair Booth event. The Region Public Service
Announcements that had been created will soon be shown on TV and radio
as well as in newspapers all over Georgia. There were 26 calls to phoneline.
Activities – Paul S. not present, no report was received.
RCM – See Attached Report
RCMA – Fred C. Reported that David had volunteered to drive a van down
to Indian Springs State Park in Sept for the 40th Anniversary of NA in
Georgia and Regional Picnic which will be combined with the Regional
GSR assembly and workshops. It is $5.00 charge for each vehicle and 10.00
