Dathan L. Hill
The Law Office of Da-
than L. Hill focuses on per-
sonal and catastrophic in-
jury and criminal defense.
Dathan Hill has ex-
tensive experience in
automobile, motorcycle
and 18-wheeler accident
claims. He firmly believes
that victims of serious ac-
cidents and their families
deserve fair compensation
from the negligent parties.
Protecting the interests of
his clients is always a top
priority. Having a thorough
understanding of how the
legal system works is key
to resolving claims expedi-
tiously so that his clients
can resume their lives as
quickly as possible.
Hill believes that those
who have been charged
with a crime deserve an
attorney who will work ag-
gressively to resolve the
case quickly. Hills admis-
sions to practice include
all Louisiana federal and
district courts, so he can
represent clients whether
the crime is considered a
misdemeanor or a felony.
More often than not,
crimes involving DWI,
drugs or battery can be
life altering. Hill will be
straightforward about the
penalties that can result
from a criminal convic-
tion, and he will negotiate
to reduce or eliminate jail
time, fines and other con-
sequences that can follow
someone for the rest of his
or her life.
Hill was born in South
Baton Rouge and attended
McKinley Senior High
School. He received his
undergraduate degree
in political science from
Southern University,
where he later received his
law degree.

Kenneth L. Riche established
his general plaintiff practice
law firm with the goal to pro-
vide excellent, ethical and ag-
gressive legal representation
to individuals and families in
Baton Rouge and throughout
the state, focusing in areas
of personal injury, wills and
successions, and criminal
defense.
His personal injury practice
includes claims for injuries
from accidents involving
planes, trains, and automo-
biles, as well as from indus-
trial accidents including toxic
chemical exposure. He also
has experience in medical
malpractice claims and defec-
tive medical devices claims.
Riche has represented clients
in cases of highway defects
that caused injuries, as well as
asbestos-related mesothelioma
and death claims.
Riche has maintained his
practice with an office in Ba-
ton Rouge, initially with larger
plaintiff law firms, and has
been a solo practitioner for the
past several years.
Riche has represented
clients in not only the Baton
Rouge area, but also in sur-
rounding parishes, primar-
ily in South Louisiana, from
Avoyelles Parish to Lafayette
to Houma/Thibodaux to New
Orleans, as well as the North-
shore area.
Regarding personal injury
claims, Riche says the most ef-
fective way to protect yourself
and those you love after an
injury or death in the family is
by consulting an attorney who
thoroughly understands your
legal dilemma and knows how
to help you.
With a focus on personal
injury, the Riche firm is dedi-
cated to assisting his injured
clients and their family mem-
bers by providing the support
they need to make the fullest
recovery possible.
A large part of Riches
practice deals with Louisiana
probate law, which is com-
monly referred to as wills and
successions. When a Louisiana
resident dies, his or her estate
is transferred to the heirs, in
accordance with Louisianas
probate laws. The manner of
transfer depends on the provi-
sions of the Last Will & Testa-
ment, but when there is no
Last Will & Testament, the es-
tate is transferred to the heirs
as designated by law.
When clients consult the
Riche firm, they will meet
directly with Riche, and he
will help them understand how
Louisiana law applies to their
case and assist in completing
the legal work necessary for
an appropriate transfer of as-
sets to the legatees or heirs.
Riche demonstrates his
commitment to his clients by
promptly returning phone
calls. He spends the necessary
time to walk clients through
the legal process and to keep
them updated on the progress
of their cases.
Biographical information
By way of background,
Riche was born in Eunice,
Louisiana, grew up in Avoy-
elles Parish, and graduated
from Cottonport High School
in 1962. He received his bach-
elor of arts degree from the
University of Southwestern
Louisiana in 1966 and obtained
his juris doctorate from Loui-
siana State University in 1969.
He is a member of the Baton
Rouge Bar Association, Louisi-
ana State Bar Association and
the Louisiana Association for
Justice.
Riche is licensed to practice
law in all state and federal
courts within the state of Loui-
siana, as well as the U.S. Court
of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit,
U.S. Court of Federal Claims,
U.S. Court of Appeal for the
Federal Circuit and the U.S.
Supreme Court.
Riche and his wife, Mary
Lynn, have been active in
their community, including St.
George Catholic Church and
School, since the early 1970s.
Their sons, Kenny and Kevin,
and their families, also live
and work in the Baton Rouge
area.

Adkins &Guice
Since 1989, Hammonds, Sills, Adkins &
Guice LLP has provided experienced legal
services in complex litigation, business
litigation, defense legal services, construc-
tion law and employment litigation for
both public and private clients throughout
Louisiana.
A diverse team of attorneys and para-
professionals have assisted in everything
from simple contracts to complex litiga-
tion and jury trials across a myriad of legal
disciplines and practice areas.
Hammonds, Sills, Adkins & Guice con-
sistently produces successful results for
its clientele in an economical and efficient
manner. This is why the firm has become
highly trusted for public education and
legal defense in the state. The firms peer
rating is constantly among the highest in
the legal industry.
The 18 attorneys in two convenient Loui-
siana locations are positioned to provide
the highest standard of legal representa-
tion statewide.
Experience and results
The firm has successfully handled many
cases involving personal injury defense
claims, property damage claims, duty to
defend claims, insurance coverage, con-
tract claims, complex litigation and bad
faith claims for its insurance clients.
In representing public school systems,
the firms attorneys have successfully
handled desegregation, reapportionment,
employee grievances, individuals with Dis-
ability Act claims, constitutional issues,
construction disputes, public contract and
bid problems, Fair Labor Standards Act
claims and workers compensation mat-
ters.
Attorneys in the firm have been involved
in many cases wherein new and important
legal standards have been established by
state and federal courts. Their expertise
and successes have been noticed by other
attorneys in Louisiana, whose comments
contributed to the firms receipt of the
highest possible rating by Martindale-Hub-
bell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
HSAG has also been listed by Fortune
Magazine as one of the top ranked law
firms in Louisiana.
Mediation practice
Over the years, Hammond, Sills, Adkins
& Guice also has developed a viable media-
tion practice. Mediation is a process for
resolving disputes by which a neutral third
person, in the role of a mediator, attempts
to assist the disputing parties in reaching a
mutually satisfactory settlement. The aim
of mediation, or any negotiation for that
matter, is to create a settlement option for
each party that is preferable to continuing
the litigation of the case.
Harold Adkins, a partner at the Baton
Rouge office, serves on the panel of neu-
trals for Mediation Arbitration and Profes-
sional Systems Inc. (MAPS), serving all of
Louisiana.
Jon Guice, a partner in charge of the
Monroe office, is an experienced media-
tor with Alternative Dispute Resolution
Inc. (ADR Inc.) and handles various types
of mediations involving a wide range of
claims in North Louisiana.

About Burton LeBlanc
Baron & Budd shareholder,
Burton LeBlanc, is a power-
house advocate for individuals,
businesses and public entities
that have been harmed by cor-
porate wrongdoing, having be-
gun his legal career represent-
ing victims of toxic exposure
and workplace hazards in his
home state, Louisiana.
His lifelong commitment to
service through the legal sys-
tem began as a child in Louisi-
ana, where danger in the work-
place was commonplace in the
1950s and 1960s and expecta-
tions for most workers were of
a life shortened by the necessity
of making a living. Seeing this,
LeBlanc knew that his lifes mis-
sion would be to seek justice for
those who have needlessly been
exposed to toxic substances.
LeBlancs passion for justice
extends to the national stage
where he served as president
of the American Association for
Justice. As president of AAJ,
the largest voluntary trial bar
in the world, LeBlanc advocat-
ed for protection of Americas
civil justice system and rallied
resources when corporate in-
terests attempted to infringe
on individual rights. He is an
adamant crusader for the abo-
lition of forced arbitration and
a supporter of the fundamental
right to a trial by jury.
LeBlancs 2013 election as
AAJ president followed a long
history of involvement on both
the local and national levels of
AAJ and its affiliate organiza-
tions. LeBlanc has also served
the Louisiana Association for
Justice as past president, mem-
ber of the council of directors,
board of governors and the
Committee for the Environ-
mental Law/Toxic Tort Section
and continues to serve on LAJs
executive committee.
LeBlancs extensive accom-
plishments are equally re-
nowned in the courtroom, pav-
ing the way for him to be named
as one of the top 75 plaintiffs
attorneys in the United States
by The American Lawyer
magazine. In addition to his
work representing individuals,
LeBlanc has successfully rep-
resented many governmental
entities, including the states of
Hawaii, Mississippi, Louisiana,
and West Virginia in complex
consumer fraud litigation.
Today LeBlanc concentrates
his practice in complex litiga-
tion, including environmental
law, securities, class actions,
mass torts and asbestos litiga-
tion.
Burton is a frequent lecturer
on the issues of environmental
law, asbestos litigation, chemi-
cal exposure cases and the im-
portance of access to the civil
justice system. He has testified
before the Louisiana Legisla-
ture numerous times.
Burton and his wife are active
in the Baton Rouge community
and serve on multiple boards,
including Cancer Services of
Greater Baton Rouge, where
LeBlanc served as president.
Burton is a member of the
American Bar Associations
State Attorney General and
State Department of Justice
Issues Committee as well as
a committee member of the
ABAs Section on Toxic Torts.
