Such a rude lady, why did you still say thank you to her? You should have scolded her instead. he said. Yet, the author answered, Why should I? We often respond in the same manner when others treat us badly, which make us look terrible as well. We may encounter many different types of people in our daily life; and we may not be able to change the values of others, but we can choose to stick to our own values.
