“WE ARE A LISBON BASED OFFICE WITH AN ENTHUSIASTIC AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM. WE WORK IN ARCHITECTURE,

URBANISM AND DESIGN, PRODUCING “OUT-OF-THE BOX” IDEAS TO THE GLOBAL MARKET. OUR FOCUS IS IN THE SEARCH OF

STRATEGIES IN ORDER TO FIND CLEAR AND INNOVATIVE ANSWERS TO REAL PROBLEMS.“

We believe that each project is the “engine” of its own investigation, allowing a critical, creative and innovative approach. Diagrammatic and elementary representations are both the outcome of a process and a means of diagnosis, research and communication of new solutions.

Among several competitions ATELIER DATA has been distinguished with the 1st Prize of the International Competition “RE:VISION DALLAS” with the project “Forwarding Dallas”, Dallas, United States; 1st Prize in the 1st Edition of the International Lisbon Ideas Challenge, with the project “Power Fold”; 1st Prize in the “3000 viviendas” Competition in Vallecas, Madrid, Spain (Master’s Collective Housing); 1st Prize in the “VECTOR E – Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, with the “Power Fold” project – competition organized by the Innovation, Technology and Development Politics Center IN+.

ATELIER DATA

Born in Covilhã in 1978.Lives and works in Lisbon. Co-founder of Atelier Data in 2005.Currently a PhD student at the University of Évora and since 2014 on a scholarship from FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology, for the development of the dissertation entitled “The Use of Water in Rural Contemporary Design”.In 2007 concludes the Master in “Collective Housing” - Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Scholarship from the Housing Department of Madrid.Graduated from the Faculdade de Arquitectura – Universidade Técnica de Lisboa in 2002.Collaboration with Atelier Actar Arquitectura in Barcelona in the project and theory investigation field for a period of 2 years.Collaborated with Atelier CVDB Arquitectos Lda in the project department for a period of 3 years.Part of her curriculum are the participation in the workshop in Material Design, Visions for a possible future, Escola Técnica de Imagem e Comunicação (2004) and collaboration with the architects Cristina Veríssimo and Diogo Burnay in the international workshop on “Arquitecturas Necessárias” promoted by the International University of Catalonia, Barcelona.

FILIPE RODRIGUES . Architect

Born in Lisbon in 1978.Lives and works in Lisbon. Co-founder of Atelier Data in 2005.Graduated from the Faculdade de Arquitectura – Universidade Técnica de Lisboa in 2003. Collaborated with Atelier Atitude Virtual in the field of Three-Dimensional Modelling and Institutional Film Production for a period of 2 years.Collaborated with the companies GOC SA and Claro e Simões Lda, in the project department and on-site project follow-up for a period of 2 years.Important part of her curriculum are the participation in the Course of Entrepreneurship with Scientific and Technological Basis, Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (2008), in the Program Vector E - Economic Enhancement of Science and Technology, Organization and Business Planning for New Technology-based companies, an initiative of the Center for Innovation, Technology and DevelopmentPolitics, IN +, Instituto Superior Técnico and the Office of Entrepreneurship IST (2007-2008) and the intensive course in Graphic Design at AR.CO - Center for Arts & Visual Communication
