San Antonio College continues to provide individuals with an opportunity to obtain college credit in the subject matter(s) listed above via the CLEP Examination. The CLEP is a computerized exam, which allows you to receive your test scores immediately. With the notable exception of CLEP Essay exams, you will receive your CLEP scores upon completion of the exam. An individual who completes the CLEP exam has the option of either submitting, or not submitting their CLEP scores for posting on their college transcript. The individual may then have the option of enrolling in the respective class for credit. Lastly, San Antonio College does not award a letter grade, only course credit is offered for any CLEP exam.

All CLEP credits awarded by San Antonio College are transferable to other institutions, subject to any restrictions per the individual policies of the receiving institution. It is highly recommended that all individuals who plan to transfer to another institution should consult with the receiving transfer institution regarding its policies and acceptance of CLEP credit. The CLEP testing program is for San Antonio College students. Individuals from other institutions must obtain permission to test at our testing center, subject to seating availability. REQUIREMENTS: A driver license, military ID and/or passport are acceptable forms of I.D, which are required for testing. You are allowed 90 minutes per CLEP exam; allow 2 hours per CLEP exam for registration and seating arrangements. REGISTRATION: Open registration consists of paying a $20.00 test administration fee that is non-refundable to the college along with the cost of the CLEP exam $87.00; paid online www.collegeboard.org/CLEP via credit card only. Once both fees have been paid, you will then be allowed to select a testing session time; CLEP registration ticket and state ID are required on the exam day. NOTE: You CANNOT register for the CLEP exam if you are currently enrolled in the same course you wish to receive CLEP credit. If you are currently enrolled in a foreign language course, you are not allowed to test for a higher-level course within the same semester. The maximum credits allowed (through any combination of examinations) are 32 semester hours. CLEP will administered on the following dates. (Maximum of 10 students per session).

• Registration must be done in person at San Antonio College FAC 112 • Registration closes the day before the scheduled test date • Please provide your printed registration ticket • A valid driver’s license, military ID or passport are the only acceptable forms of id and required

to test, expired documents are not allowed. • No calculators are required; an online scientific calculator will be on the exam. • No electronic devices are allowed in the testing room, this includes cell phones, tablets and/or

smart watches. • Please arrive 15 minutes early to the testing site the day of the exam. • Those arriving after either 9:30a.m. or 1:30p.m. will not be allowed to test and will need to pay a $20 fee

to reschedule the exam. If you do not have anywhere to leave your electronics, you can bring your own pad lock and use the lockers outside of the testing room. The following lock is compatible with our lockers. We do offer lockers for you to be able to put your cell phone away outside of the testing room. You must bring your own lock in order to use the locker. This schedule has been carefully prepared; however, changes may result in deviation from the information listed above.
