Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) The Contemporary Arts Center celebrates its twenty-‐fifth anniversary in 2014. Since its founding as the Contemporary Arts Collective by a group of artists, instructors and students from the University of Nevada Las Vegas through today, the CAC has taken risks offering a safe place to showcase controversial and contemporary artwork. Over the years, the CAC has expanded outside of the university to serve the city as a whole. Mirage Hotel and Casino This iconic resort features the Mirage Volcano, waterfalls, a 20,000 gallon saltwater aquarium and Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. entertainment center in the Fremont Street district downtown. A number of light-‐and-‐sound shows (known as the Fremont Street Experience) take place beginning at dusk but the real attraction is the three miles of Neon Lights outside and inside the Neonopolis; the collection includes iconic and original from the 1940’s, 50’s & 60’s.
