ARTICLE ANALYSIS BY LAURA CHEESEMAN 1. What is the information technology being used and how is it being used? The technology being created is a program which creates call sheets (gives the crew the actives that are occurring during the day) by drawing on different information from a web server. 2. What is the reason for its use? The program will be used as will half the time taken to create the call sheets which can improve the organisation of the film. 3. What is the reason(s) if industy any, for concern? There is the issue of the initial set up which will take a lot of time and their fore cost money to set up (eg. to pay wages, power to run the computer) 4. Who are the people (the stakeholders) involved? The people involved are the producers of the software, the production co-ordinator, and the other members of the crew. 5. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the technology use to different stakeholders? For all the stakeholders there is the advantage of increase profits, for the film company less time making the call sheets (which will save money) and profit for the distributor of the software. 6. What are the ethical, legal policies or rules that apply to the use of this technology? Their are the issues of copyright and licensing options for the software and so the software will need to have the correct licensing and copyright agreements. 7. What are some possible solutions? Ensure that the correct licensing agreement is in place with the company and ensure that the correct copyright agreement is in place.
