Deforestation
Ariana M
What is the issue?• Trees all over are being cut down for
different reasons.• Trees are the home of 70 percent of animals
which means animals are loosing their homes.
• The trees help get rid of the carbon in the air and help us breathe.
Deforestation, Weather, and Climate The trees absorb energy and the less trees
we have mean less heat absorption that goes in the atmosphere.
Less trees means that less rain which could lead to droughts.
Overall it gets hotter and things in the arctic start to melt.
Evidence of its existence
Deforestation and Chemistry “Deforestation is often cited as one of the
major causes of the enhanced green house effect.”
Trees remove carbon from the atmosphere in the process of photosynthesis.
The trees help absorb and release heat.
Who does it effect the most?People and animals who live in amazons. Communities who use trees to help regulate
their supply of water. The earth.
Why care?Deforestation effects everyone because the
trees are a supply of oxygen. Global WarmingIt effects the weather the climateLess trees makes it more hot in the world and
less rain.
What can we do?Buy local or in season Protest those who cut down treesDo not buy items with the label “exotic”Stop Deforestation, save the earth!
