Reflecting his substantial experience in insurance litigation, David has been invited to write and speak on complex issues of interest to insurers and self-insured corporate clients. He has spoken on such cutting edge topics as Catastrophic Impairment and the AMA Guides, Aggravated and Punitive Damages, Employer and Commercial Host Liability, Uninsured and Underinsured Liability, Forum Non-Conveniens, Trucking and Transportation Law. David has spoken at the request of the Advocate’s Society on the Art of Cross- Examination and on Insurance matters by The Law Society of Upper Canada , The Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Defence Lawyers, The Federation of Defence & Corporate Counsel, the Canadian and the International Association of Life Care Planners. David has also spoken at a number of higher learning institutions including Carleton University and the Ottawa University, the University of Windsor, the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Memorial University and at Dalhousie University. David also taught at Carleton University in business Law, at the Ontario Bar Admission Course in Civil Procedure and at the International Institute for Research. Pendant 30 ans, David a limité sa pratique au droit des assurances et aux litiges connexes. Il conseille les assureurs, les sociétés autoassurées, les organisations à but non lucratif, les petites et moyennes entreprises et les particuliers sur les litiges commerciaux et les litiges en matière d’assurance, d’emploi et de droits de la personne. David a agi en qualité de conseiller juridique sur les questions de couverture et les questions touchant les préjudices personnels, l’assurance individuelle, l’assurance IARD, l’assurance de la responsabilité civile entreprise, l’assurance de la responsabilité des produits, l’assurance de la responsabilité en matière de construction, l’assurance des chaudières, l’assurance couvrant la responsabilité des administrateurs et dirigeants et la négligence professionnelle, l’assurance incendie, l’assurance détournement et vol, l’assurance de risques successifs et la réassurance ainsi que les sinistres vie et invalidité. Il continue d’agir en qualité d’avocat plaideur et de conseiller en matière de couverture dans les litiges complexes mettant en cause plusieurs parties ou plusieurs juridictions ou concernant des sinistres graves et catastrophiques.
