Are Decorative Fireplaces the New Black? Author : Henri Kalam In many interior design magazines there are articles about decorative fireplaces. Those are fireplaces that don’t really produce any heat but they have a flickering fire inside. Also, the source of fire is gas, not real burning wood. One reason why the decorative fireplaces have become popular is that you don’t have to have a chimney for the fumes to exit. You can just buy the Uunisepät fireplace and put it anywhere you want in your home without any hassle. And it is a good option for small apartments where a real fireplace wouldn’t even be possible. So, is a decorative fireplace better than a real fireplace? It is not. The reason for this is all in all that the decorative fireplace, as the name already suggests, is simply decorative meaning that it doesn’t provide heat, you can’t melt marshmallows in it and it doesn’t provide any real feeling for you can’t even hear the crackling sound of the wood burning. But of course if you don’t have a chimney in your house or in your apartment, a decorative fireplace might be the closest you can get to a fireplace. However, if you are lucky enough to own a home where you either have a fireplace or it is possible to install one, I would without a doubt go for the real fireplace. The real fireplace not only pleases the eye, brings about a cozy atmosphere, it fulfills a function: it provides your home with heat even if there is an electricity blackout. You never know what kind of damage a storm will do, and if it does affect the electricity distribution, you don’t have to worry about heat, cooking or some light when owning a fireplace. When it comes to fireplaces, you should know that fireplaces differ a lot in quality and built so make sure yours not only produces heat but does it energy efficiently and reserves the heat. A fireplace company that is on the top of the fireplace engineering is Uunisepät All of their fireplaces are extremely heat reserving which means that in addition to a cozy feeling of a fireplace you also save on the energy bill.

In many interior design magazines there are articles about decorative fireplaces. Those

are fireplaces that don’t really produce any heat but they have a flickering fire inside.

Also, the source of fire is gas, not real burning wood. One reason why the decorative

fireplaces have become popular is that you don’t have to have a chimney for the fumes

to exit. You can just buy the Uunisepät fireplace and put it anywhere you want in your

home without any hassle. And it is a good option for small apartments where a real

fireplace wouldn’t even be possible. So, is a decorative fireplace better than a real

fireplace? It is not. The reason for this is all in all that the decorative fireplace, as the

name already suggests, is simply decorative meaning that it doesn’t provide heat, you

can’t melt marshmallows in it and it doesn’t provide any real feeling for you can’t even

hear the crackling sound of the wood burning. But of course if you don’t have a chimney

in your house or in your apartment, a decorative fireplace might be the closest you can

get to a fireplace.

However, if you are lucky enough to own a home where you either have a fireplace or it

is possible to install one, I would without a doubt go for the real fireplace. The real

fireplace not only pleases the eye, brings about a cozy atmosphere, it fulfills a function:

it provides your home with heat even if there is an electricity blackout. You never know

what kind of damage a storm will do, and if it does affect the electricity distribution, you

don’t have to worry about heat, cooking or some light when owning a fireplace.

When it comes to fireplaces, you should know that fireplaces differ a lot in quality and

built so make sure yours not only produces heat but does it energy efficiently and

reserves the heat. A fireplace company that is on the top of the fireplace engineering is

Reality Interior Design

Author : Henri Kalam

Whenever you turn on the TV, there is always some interior design show explaining you

how to make your living space more stylish, more harmonic and overall a lot better than

your current one. I have to say that I quite enjoy these lifestyle shows although you

have to be picky which ones are most suitable and beneficial to you. I have chosen

three lifestyle shows that I watch weekly: a show concentrated on baking, an interior

design show where they every week have a different space to renovate and make over,

and a lifestyle show that is all about changing the bad habits into good ones.

This year, instead of just merely watching the shows, I decided to act and really put the

tips and advice into use. I have already started cooking healthy foods and consuming

heaps of salad, vegetables and fruits. My new favourite morning meal is actually a

smoothie made of kiwis, apples and orange juice – I definitely recommend this to

everyone. And because it is nice to indulge at times, I have learned a new low fat bun

recipe. Last but not least, I have decided to renovate my living room and sauna section.

In the living room I shall paint the walls light peach and buy a proper Persian hand-

made carpet whose colour palette will serve as the base for curtains, cushions and

other details. When it comes to the sauna section, I have decided to go a bit more bold.

Because the sauna section is in the cellar below the living room, I have decided to learn

about my options of installing a fireplace in the space that is located before the sauna

itself. I have called Uunisepät a company which makes fireplaces, and preliminarily

they have said that it is quite possible to make my interior design dream come true. We

also scheduled a time for the expert at Uunisepät to come and give his statement about

my project. He will be coming over next week and the next steps I have to take is to

have a look at different fireplace models on their website and whether I want to do any

bigger renovations there, such as changing the tiles, because it is advised that all the

other renovations are done before the installation of a fireplace. I am extremely excited

and I can’t wait for the end result.
