The French construction industry still at the forefront at the Big 5 show

Dubai, November 21 to 24, 2016

United Arab Emirates, 15th November 2016 - Business France, the national agency that promotes the internationalization of the French economy, is once again running a French pavilion at the Big 5 show, the leading exhibition and a major event in the Middle Eastern region. More than 40 companies from the industry’s various sectors will be showcasing their products, services and expertise to local professionals with aim of forming or strengthening partnerships.

The French construction/finishings sector enjoys a strong image in terms of quality and reliability, two particularly crucial aspects in construction given the safety risks posed by low-end and counterfeit products. The French offering is highly diversified in terms of trades covered: from structural work to finishings (carpentry, roofing, insulation, bathroom facilities, cooling and heating, smoke detectors, etc.), not forgetting finishing touches (wall and floor coverings, luxury faucets, home automation, etc.), undertaken by firms of all sizes.

It is very difficult to quantify the construction/finishings sector in France. However, it is estimated that business conducted in foreign markets is worth €7.8 billion (source: FFB/FNTP 2015).
