A

Marianne Megela graduated in 1990 with an art degree from Akron University. She and her husband then moved to Florida where they began traveling to local and national shows through 62 cities and 17 states. Through this experience, Megela learned the essentials necessary for a successful art show. After 8 years as volunteer Show Chairperson for Naples Artcrafters, Marriane began a career as Festivals Director with the Naples Art Association. There she was responsible for planning and executing 6 local and 5 national festivals from 2006 - 2014. Currently, Megela is a consultant and sales representative for The Sweet Art Gallery.

Carolynn Desch is a recent transplant to beautiful Naples, Florida from Chicago, Illinois. After receiving her Masters in Fine Arts in Metalsmithing in 1994, Carolynn began her art practice in Chicago. She is a sculptor and installation artist as well as a jewelry designer. Carolynn moved to Naples in 2015 and has been a member of the Naples Art District since 2016. She continues to design and create sterling silver jewelry in her studio on Trade Center Way in Naples.

The SVDP Family Assistance Center, conference members, and thrift stores work together to assess the needs of families and provide assistance with rent, utilities, clothing, and household necessities. The Choice Food Pantry provides a variety of non- perishable food and hygiene items. Through these programs, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Naples

provides those in need with the resources that empower them to achieve a life that is self-sufficient. Through the donations to our thrift stores and SVDP programs such as Meals on Wheels, families are helped through hardships like illness, loss of work, isolation, and low fixed incomes. We are grateful to all those individuals who give of their time volunteering for the Meals on Wheels program, thrift stores, and financial assistance programs. We are also very grateful to those who give generously from their heart in order to help those in the Naples community through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

FFor over 40 years, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) has served the community of Naples. For over 20 years, the Society has been serving daily meals to the elderly population of Collier County who are homebound or otherwise cannot afford nutritious meals through the Meals on Wheels program.

Our dedicated volunteers not only provide sustenance in the delivery of meals, they also deliver the message ‘ we care’ to each of the recipients they serve. In the past year, SVDP has helped more than 18,000 people and served over 55,000 meals through Meals On Wheels and other Society programs.
