Dear Members,

First of all I would like to sincerely thank you for the warm welcome the Seawell family has received since taking over the club on March 1st. It is a great privilege for us to serve you and be a part of such a wonderful club. We look forward to meeting and spending more time with each of you. We promise to do everything that we can to provide a more enjoyable club atmosphere where families and friends can come together.

During the month of April, many exciting events and activities are scheduled for your enjoyment. Some of these activities include:

MASTER'S SPLASH - The Masters Splash will be held April 5 and 6. The format will be a 2 person better ball (Member-Member or Member-Guest). During the Friday night drawing party, the Masters players will be drawn and team shares purchased. There will be four ways to win: team gross, team net, Masters player, and the combination of the team score and Masters player. The entry fee will be $25 per member or guest.

COUPLES TWILIGHT LEAGUE - We are introducing our Couples Twilight League beginning Thursday, April 18. Every Thursday evening starting at 5:30 PM couples will play in a 9-hole event designed specifically for fun and camaraderie. The entry fee is $5 per player plus cart fee. All players will receive a $5 certificate for a dinner menu entrée that evening.

FAMILY DAY AT HOUNDSLAKE - Beginning April 21, every Sunday will be designated as Family Day at Houndslake. Cart fees and range balls will be half price after 1:00 PM when families participate together. Also, the Professional staff (Jackie Seawell, Daniel Seawell, and Rob Lee) will be available to give free instruction and clinics to your family. This will be a great way for you and your family to enjoy the game together.

Our Tuesday evening Family Buffet, Wednesday’s Ladies' Night, Thursday’s Prime Rib & Jackpot, and Sunday Brunch have been well received and well attended. We will continue to have them on the schedule throughout the year. We hope that you review the schedule, mark your calendar, and make plans to join us for these and other fun events at the Club.

I also wanted you to be aware of some upcoming Golf Groups that were scheduled by previous management. We need to honor some of these commitments previously made. The Pro Shop Staff will exercise all available options in order to not inconvenience our Members. Reciprocal arrangements, at some other clubs, will be made if necessary. I can assure you that future decisions will be made with the best interest of the Houndslake Members in mind.

USED FLAGS & CARTRIDGE DONATION

The Gamma Omega Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha is collecting used printer

cartridges to benefit Easter Seals and torn/tattered old flags. The flags are given to George Funeral Home to be placed in the caskets of deceased veterans. This is a great and easy way to recycle cartridges and dispose of American flags properly.

You can drop off your cartridges and flags in the lobby of the Club.

Please congratulate Geoffrey Bulfinch, our March Employee of the Month! Geoffrey is the Golf Course Mechanic and has been a loyal employee for over 25 years.
