THE SANCTUARY LAMP…..

by the Blessed Sacrament is lit this

week in loving memory of Marion Moon

Golda. You are truly loved and missed.

All my love, Anthony J. Golda, Sr. DOES YOUR SPRING CLEANING INCLUDE GOING

THROUGH YOUR CLOSETS AND DRAWERS? Kindly remember Outreach’s Annual Clothing Drive—May 5th

& 6th weekend will be Infant’s, Girl’s, & Lady’s clothing

and the 12th & 13th will be Boy’s & Men’s clothing. As you are getting your donations ready, it would be great if you could place them in labeled bags or containers. It would be greatly appreciated. Please see the flyer enclosed today. Thank You.

May God bless you for whatever you can do.

Dear Parishioners, Regarding Upon This Rock Pledges—please send

your pledge commitments to: Upon This Rock, 795 Main St. Buffalo, NY 14203-1250. You may also call their office at 716-847-8740 to arrange for direct debit of your donations. The Parish has received a semi-annual payment of $6,023.00. from our share of your donations. We are most grateful. Thank you very much. This money is currently earmarked for a possible project that will make the Parish Center handicapped accessible. I want to thank you for your understanding and

cooperation in not flushing diapers down the toilets of the Church and Parish Center. Needless plumbing bills certainly are not appreciated. The Parish Finance Committee chaired, by Mr. Daniel Carey, works very hard to work out the yearly budget of the Parish and also to attempt to save the Parish money at every step of the way. For the record, our weekly collection does not fully cover our weekly expenditures, so that drawing from our savings is a regular necessity for the Parish. I have been your Pastor for almost nine (9) years. I

surely could not have succeeded without my wonderful staff who are so loyal to the Parish and to me. I feel that you, my Parishioners, are so kind to me that it has been a joy to serve you as your Pastor. There is more work to accomplish. It is a hope to eventually make our Parish Center handicapped accessible. A Task Force is looking into our options regarding this wish. Nevertheless, to make the Parish Center handicapped accessible will be a most costly endeavor. The Parish Trustees, Mr. Tom Kilianski and Mr. Joe Kipler, are so professional in their responsibilities to the Parish. The many other Committees of the Parish work

industriously to fulfill the purpose of each of the Committees. The Fundraising Committee members are always looking for volunteers to help them in their brain-storming to think of interesting fundraisers and in their hard work at each and every one of the fundraisers. So, St. Teresa’s Parish, founded in 1898 on April

4th, has a long legacy and has been a wonderful Parish for many hundreds of Parishioners, living and deceased, who have contributed their time, talent, and treasure to he ongoing history of our Parish. Thank you for choosing St. Teresa’s as you Parish family home and for being most loyal to me, Your Pastor. God Bless, Fr. Jim

This Sunday, at the 11:00 Mass, we will celebrate the

120th Anniversary of St. Teresa

Church. Please join us on this very

special occasion commemorating the

legacy of St. Teresa’s Parish.
