You brought new hope to Olga

She was 13 years old — and suddenly the ground shifted under her! She was angry with her mother ... How could she drive her father away? She was angry with her father ... How could he leave her? She was angry with herself ... Maybe she did something that destroyed their marriage.

Olga felt angry with her mother and abandoned by her father, but today she knows she is loved by Jesus! Your gift now will be DOUBLED to reach more young people like Olga.

With all of this pain inside, Olga began to act out. She defied her mother, neglected her schoolwork, and began spending her time on the streets with bad company. Her mother felt the only way to protect her was to send her off to boarding school.

At boarding school she couldn’t hang out on the streets ... but she continued to be defiant and ignore her schoolwork. She had no hope for the future — she was filled with bitterness.

Then you reached out to Olga. You sent the Book of Hope for her.

When the team from the local church arrived to share the book with the students, Olga was disruptive and disrespectful throughout their presentation.

They were surprised when she lingered afterward to ask a question ... they thought she had not been paying any attention at all! In fact, she had several questions about the Book of Hope and what the team had said ... and she confessed to them: she desperately wanted to change, but didn’t know how.

Today, Olga is living for Jesus Christ. Her behavior is changing day-by-day — but the most important thing is, now she has the joy and assurance that Jesus loves her and will never leave her. Thank you for sending hope to Olga!

Olga had a happy life ... until her father left.

The Minister of Education for the then-Soviet Union first invited us to bring God’s Word to the children back in 1990 — before the fall of the Iron Curtain!

25 years of ministry in RussiaThanks for helping reach 92.8 million children and youth so far!

Since that time, you have helped present God’s Word to 92.8 million children and youth, all across the vast nation.

“The Lord brought us a wonderful partner in Pastor Edward Grabovenko and New Testament Church in Perm, Russia,” says OneHope President Rob Hoskins.

Today, Edward is the Bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, an alliance of thousands of churches across Russia.

Hosanna Plan and God’s Word

Through the Hosanna Plan, these churches are working together to plant 10,000 churches — at least one in every city, town and village which does not currently have a church.

Today, you can present the Gospel to SIX Russian children and youth with every dollar you give! The Scripture Power Matching Challenge will DOUBLE your gift.

Because of economic chaos in Russia right now, many multitudes are struggling for survival — and simply can’t afford a Bible.

Our Russian partners requested a new, even more Scripture-intensive Book of Hope which will serve as a biblical foundation for teens and children who receive it, and for their families.

The Scripture Power Matching Challenge comes at a crucial time for delivering the life-transforming Word of God to Russia’s next generation. Thank you for being a part of it today!

Amped-up Book of Hope :More Scripture power

And OneHope Scripture engagement programs are the very foundation of these new church plants!

Believers volunteer to give “One Year for Jesus.” During this year, they take the Book of Hope, The GodMan film and other Scripture engagement programs into villages and towns, sharing the Word of God with the local children and young people. The new believers become the nucleus for a new church.

Thanks for standing with OneHope and our Russian partners to reach the next generation with God’s life-transforming Word!

Never before have I quoted Ringo Starr in an article or blog post, but there’s a first time for everything:

This love of mine keeps growing all the timeAnd you know, it don’t come easy

Bad grammar, but very apropos: the love of God poured out into our hearts (Romans 5:5, NIV) keeps growing and reaching out to young people in new areas of the world, but these days it doesn’t come easy.

All the easy places of the world have been reached with the Good News, and we’re going to the difficult ones.

Today our church and missions partners are going into areas where believers are persecuted, risking their lives —

Or they’re going up rivers and into jungles to seek out the unreached people groups, living in primitive conditions for weeks and months at a time.

Our Hosanna Plan partners in Russia are going into the 100,000+ towns and villages of Russia that don’t have churches ...

They’re taking snowmobiles up into the mountains, they’re going into the tiny towns and backwoods areas that modernity forgot.

Thank you for going with them, for giving and praying, to take God’s Word to the next generation, even in the most difficult places on earth.

And remember: right now, every dollar you invest in reaching Russian children and youth will be DOUBLED by the Scripture Power Matching Challenge — every single dollar will reach SIX young people with the Good News.

Your generosity again today will make DOUBLE the impact. For children and youth in some of the most difficult to reach places.

They came for the fun of a Kids’ Evangelism Explosion seminar — but several teenagers in Cameroon quickly found themselves drawn into the story of Jesus Christ as they worked through our Pathway to Hope special edition of the Book of Hope.

We are partnering with Kids’ Evangelism Explosion to help train Christian young people in how to share the Good News with their peers. These teenagers accepted Jesus through the Hope for Kids program and immediately wanted to tell others about the Gospel —

So they began going door-to-door. In one week, this group of teens (along with others from their church) led 261 people to faith in Christ!

CAMEROON — Teenage missionaries sharing the Good News!

PHILIPPINES —A OneHope church partner in Taiwan sent a team to conduct summer camps in the Philippines. One little boy at camp was enthralled by the God’s Big Story cards ... especially the story of Joseph. He’d been badly treated by his own family. When he learned how Joseph forgave and helped his brothers, he decided that’s what he would do, too. Today, he has accepted Christ as Savior and is growing each day.

SENSITIVE AREA —In a politically sensitive area where there are significant barriers to sharing the Good News, our partners sponsored a soccer camp, using the Champions edition Book of Hope with a soccer theme to share the truth of the Gospel. All the young participants enjoyed the camp and coaching — and 12 teenagers chose to follow Christ as Savior. This is a significant outcome for this hard-to-reach area of Asia!

ECUADOR —A new ministry launch in Ecuador introduced the Book of Hope to 11-year-old Danny. Because of hard times in the past, he had difficulty connecting with and trusting his friends and family. After reading about the life of Jesus, he realized that he can always trust in God. Today, he has committed his life to Jesus, and is learning to respect and trust those around him.

KENYA —Beatrice felt real hatred toward her brothers and sisters ... their great behavior made her look bad! Then she began a course in our Stories of Hope program, which helps build Bible literacy by highlighting 75 of the most important stories in the Bible. Before the program ended, Beatrice repented, committed her life to Christ and chose to love her family and friends just as God intended!

In 2014, OneHope reached its billionth child — a young girl in China — with a relevant Gospel message. This year

OneHope will reach nearly one hundred million additional young people with Scripture programs that are age-

and culturally- specific based on research it conducts among children and youth, leaders and educators in each

country it works. Since 1987, OneHope has helped kids experience God’s Story by collaborating with churches and

ministries — and working with local governments, schools and non-governmental organizations — by bringing a

message of Hope to children and youth in more than 100 countries. www.OneHope.net

Solim’s entire family was transformed when you sent The GodMan film to their village. Solim’s father, a witch doctor, was saved, and so were Solim and his sisters. Thank you for bringing them the Truth of God’s Word.

God’s Word. Every Child.

A child — and family — changed forever!Solim figured his father would say no. Let him go see a movie? No.

In their village in Togo, Solim’s father was a powerful witch doctor. Throughout their region, he was renowned for his spiritual powers.

Solim had received the Book of Hope at school and was invited to a showing of The GodMan film, but he believed his father would forbid his going to learn more about Jesus ...

So he was surprised — and delighted! — when his father said he could go. Not only Solim: his four sisters could go too. In fact, the witch doctor himself would even attend!

Solim and his sisters were amazed by the story of Jesus. They joined many other children in the audience in going forward to receive Christ as Savior.

The next day, their father, too, said he would follow Jesus — he went to the pastor of the local church and asked to pray for salvation.

Today, the fetish house where he used to perform voodoo rituals is shut down — the former witch doctor painted a message across the front: Jesus is the way!

The whole family was transformed. And Solim’s future was redeemed — because he was the eldest boy, tradition demanded that his father pass along his spiritual powers to Solim and train him to become a witch doctor, too.

Instead, they are all following Jesus together.
