The new RATIONAL KitchenManagement System allows you to manage your RATIONAL appliances simply from your PC. Thanks to the control centre function you can always see what’s happening. If required, you can operate all the appliances connected via the network by mouse click at your PC. All the important HACCP data are automatically recorded and filed for you. You can prepare your own cooking sequences in seconds and distribute these to all the appliances connected simultaneously via your network. In addition, you have free access to countless RATIONAL cooking sequences and recipes on the internet.

1. Manual for registration

Scope of delivery:

> Flash drive> Product key (16-digit)> „first steps“ – manualPlease note!> Please save files of flash drive on

the pc. Avoid saving the files in sub-folders.

> Software also can be started directly from flash drive, which is not recommended. If there is an error of the flash drive, all saved data will get lost.

> Define „Customer“> Insert & confirm email adress> Confirm by pressing „Get license“> Xml file will be sent to email

address and is available for saving on the homepage shown (mouse click right-> „Save target as“)

> Save xml file on your pc. You will need it again in a few minutes

> When starting the software without registration, many buttons (functions) still will be inactive

> On the following slides we will show you how to registrate and activte the buttons in a few steps

> Open KitchenManagement System software

> Choose the just saved xml file via „Browse“ and select in „Registration files“

> Insert product key (16-digit)> Confirm by pressing „Apply“> Now all functions of the

KitchenManagement System have been activated for use

> Open Link in browser http://KMS.VisionX-online.com/activate

> Insert product key> Confirm by pressing „Next

> Open link http://KMS.VisionX-online.com/update

> Type in the product key> press „Next“

> Choose saved update file via „Browse“

> Select file at „Update packages“ (below)

> Press „Select update“> The setup needs to be confirmed

twice

> Select update file (mouse click right)

> „Save Target As“> Define memory location & save

update file

> Start KitchenManagement System software

> Create backup before updating> Create name for the backup file,

the actual date e.g.> Confirm by pressing

3. Manual for firmware update

> Open link http://kms.visionx-online.com/update

> Enter product key & press „Next“

> The upload takes a few minutes

> After successful upload the „MySCC“-symbol will appear with yellow display

> Select „MySCC“-symbol

> Select „Update“-button to confirm the update for the unit

> During the unit is updating a hourglass is displayed

> During the update process the unit isn‘t able to be remotely-controlled

> Select update file (SelfCookingCenter® or SelfCookingCenter® whitefficiency®) –> mouse click right

> Select „Save Target As“> Define memory location & save

> Choose the saved update file via „Browse“

> Select file at „Firmware packages“ (below)

> Select „Start update to selected machines“

4. Manual for connection by crossover cable

> This manual gives you instructions how to connect your laptop to a dummy or a unit.> Just plug in a crossover cable and follow these steps to create a network consisting of your laptop and

the dummy/unit

> Double click on „Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)“

> Change from actual setting…

> …to this setting where you type in the same IP address as in the dummy/unit except the last character. Therefore choose any different.

> The default IP address of your dummies is: 168.192.1.1 So you can choose the IP address for your laptop as shown on the picture

> The subnet mask will be filled out automatically

> Your „network“ consisting of two devices is now ready for use!

> Mouse click right on network symbol

> Click on „Open Network and Sharing Center“

> Mouse click right on „Change adapter settings“

> Rechtsklick auf „Local Area Connection“
