Introduction

A DMCC licensed company is eligible to apply for UAE residence permits for their sponsored employees and shareholders’ dependents such as wife, children, parent(s), parents-in-law, housemaid(s) and driver through DMCC, which will be subject to Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) rules & regulations.

The dependent application will be processed as per one of the following three cases:

1. The first case applies if the dependent is outside UAE & will enter the UAE using the

dependent entry permit.

2. The second case applies if the dependent is inside the UAE on a cancelled employment visa

or on a Visit Visa where he / she remains inside UAE and change the status to residence permit.

3. The third case applies if the dependent is inside the UAE on Transit Visa or on Arrival Visa for GCC Residents where they must exit & re-enter on dependent entry permit.

Service to Select on Portal

Once you log on to the portal, you will see ‘Employee Services’ on the right hand tabs on the

portal homepage. Click on the Employee Services and then click on ‘Apply for new’ in the

dropdown menu under ‘Dependent Residence permits (visa)’.


Important Notes

Sponsors who have an open file in GDRFA are required to upload a copy of the receipt; otherwise, DMCC will open the file on behalf of the sponsor for an additional charge.

Shareholders not holding DMCC residence visa and holding Dubai residence visa can apply for the dependents visa.

Minimum salary of AED 4,000 with accommodation is required.

Attested Marriage Certificate (Attestation from UAE Embassy in home country and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in UAE).

Wife’s passport should be valid for at least 6 months.

Sponsor's passport & residence visa should be valid for at least 6 months.

The sponsor’s job should not be workers or any job equivalent to housemaids in order to be eligible for the sponsorship.

A dependent entry permit is valid for 60 days.

If the dependent fails the medical exam, she will not be allowed to remain in the UAE.


1. New Residence Visa for Wife outside the Country

Steps

Step 1: Complete the application form to apply for wife visa on DMCC portal.

Step 2: Upload the required documents and proceed with the payment.

Step 3: Receive a notification to visit the DMCC counters to submit the original documents and to sign the e-form.

Step 4: Receive a notification confirming the submission of documents to GDRFA.

Step 5: Receive a notification confirming the issuance of the entry permit & the next steps.

Step 6: Courier will deliver Entry permit & typed e-form for stamping to the company.

Step 7: Submit the entry permit to the GDRFA office at the port of arrival.

Step 8: Intimate the dependent’s arrival on the portal application.

Step 9: Apply for Emirates ID in any approved typing centre & proceed with the medical test in any government approved hospital, clinic or centre; then, once completed, to upload Emirates ID registration form on the online application.

Step 10: Submit the required documents for residence visa stamping on the DMCC counters.


Step 12: Receive a notification confirming the issuance of the residence visa permit.

Step 13: Courier will deliver original passport with stamped residence visa to the company.

Requirements

Step 3: After processing the online application, DMCC will issue a typed e-form where the

sponsor needs to visit the DMCC counters to submit his / her original documents and to sign

the e-form.


Step 5: Receive a notification confirming the issuance of entry permit.

Step 6: Courier to the company’s registered office will deliver original entry permit & the typed e-form for residence stamping within 24 hours.

Step 7: DMCC will submit the dependent’s entry permit to the GDRFA office at the port of

arrival.

Step 8: Intimate the dependent’s arrival online by entering the date of arrival & updating

the step online.

Step 9: Apply for Emirates ID in any approved typing centre & proceed with the medical

test in any government approved hospital, clinic, or centre.


Step 10: Once all the documents are ready, please visit the DMCC counters to submit the

below documents:



Step 13: Courier will deliver original passport with stamped residence visa to the company.

Output

Issue a renewable residence visa valid for three years.

Note

DMCC offers a service to drop off the entry permit at the airport with a nominal fee of AED 155/-.

Steps

Step 1: Complete the application form to apply for wife’s visa on DMCC portal.

Step 6: Courier to the company’s registered office will deliver Entry permit & typed e-form for visa amendment within 24 hours.

Step 7: Submit the required documents for visa amendment (original entry permit & passport) & signed e-form to DMCC counters.


Step 9: Receive a notification confirming the issuance of visa amendment & the next steps.

Step 10: Courier to the company’s registered office will deliver Entry permit, passport, visa amendment document & typed e-form for residence stamping within 24 hours.

Step 11: Apply for Emirates ID in any approved typing centre & proceed with the medical test in any government approved hospital, clinic or centre; once completed, upload the Emirates ID registration form on online application.

Step 12: Submit the required documents for residence visa stamping to DMCC counters.



Step 15: Courier to the company’s registered office will deliver original passport with stamped residence visa within 24 hours.

Step 12: Once all documents are ready, please visit the DMCC counters to submit the

Step 7: The dependent should exit the country & re-enter on dependent’s entry permit.
