    NB British Study Centres will endeavour to provide every reasonableopportunity for applicants with special needs to join the trainingcourse. However, the same standards of assessment will apply to alltrainees regardless of disability. Applicants must demonstrate thatthey can handle, or provide effective supplements for the usual rangeof language teaching equipment in the classroom such as board,video and audio equipment. All trainees must be able to identifyindividual learners and correct their spoken and written work.Allowances for trainees disability will be made only in the conduct of

    an assessment, where appropriate. Application by candidates withspecial needs for additional time to complete assignments and theexam should be supported by a report (signed and dated not morethan two years before the course start date) or other reasonableevidence from a suitably qualified person which gives evidence ofdiagnostic test(s) and effects of the learning disability.

    Once you are accepted on the course please send the fees in full or a250 deposit to reserve your place. If you only pay the deposit, theremaining fees should be paid in full no later than 4 weeks before thecourse start date.

    Conditions of Enrolment

    1. We will confirm courses on the basis ofreceiving a deposit of 250.

    2. All course fees must be received at least 4weeks before the course starts. Sometimes itcan take several days for the money to arriveif you send it through the banks. It is yourresponsibility to make sure that it arrives intime. All bank charges must be paid by thestudents.

    3. If you apply and are accepted onto thecourse within 4 weeks of the start date you willneed to pay the full course fees within 48hours of receiving confirmation of acceptance.

    General Conditions

    1. The school reserves the right to refuseadmission to any student or to dismiss anystudent in the event of misconduct orunsatisfactory attendance or timekeeping orwork, without refund of fees. Please refer toour course disciplinary statement in thehandbook.

    2. Travel, coursebooks and the costs of socialactivities are not included in the fees.

    3. No liability is accepted by the school forloss of property or damage to property. Westrongly recommend students to take outinsurance to cover their possessions, as wellas medical insurance for themselves.

    4. We reserve the right to cancel or alter acourse or to change course timings. If we doso, we will offer an alternative course or arefund.

    5. Students should arrive at theiraccommodation on Saturday or Sunday. Forstudents wishing to arrive on a Monday,Tuesday or Wednesday, one full weeksaccommodation charge will apply. Forstudents arriving from Thursday onwards anightly rate will apply (weekly rate divided by7). All midweek arrivals are subject toavailability and may not be possible year-round please check before booking.

    Amendment Charges

    An administration fee of 25 will apply forstudents wishing to change their course.

    Cancellation Charges

    1. In case of the candidate cancelling theirplace on a course more than 4 weeks beforethe starting date, the 250 deposit is non-refundable. If accommodation has beenarranged please refer to point 6.

    2. In case of the candidate cancelling theirplace on a course less than 4 weeks beforethe start date, the deposit of 250 is non-refundable. If accommodation has beenarranged please refer to point 6. The return ofother fees can only be considered if we are

    able to fill the place at short notice.

    3. In case of the candidate cancelling theirplace on a course less than 24 hours beforethe course starts or after the course hasstarted there is no refund in anycircumstances.

    4. Deposits cannot be transferred to anothercourse, course date or candidate.

    5. Please note that in the event of a traineewithdrawing from the course once it hasstarted, British Study Centres cannot refundfees or offer a place on a subsequent coursewithout payment of further fees. The schoolcan offer guidance on insurance companieswhich may be able to cover you for thiseventuality.

    6. If accommodation has been arranged thefollowing cancellation charges will apply: Ifaccommodation is cancelled more than 1

    week before the start date, there is acancellation charge of the accommodationfinding fee. If accommodation is cancelled lessthan 1 week before the start date, there is acancellation charge of the accommodationfinding fee plus one weeks accommodationcharge. If accommodation is cancelled after astudent has arrived at the accommodation,two weeks notice must be given, or twoweeks accommodation charge paid. If astudent requests to change accommodation,an additional accommodation finding fee willbe charged. If a student decides to leave theaccommodation and asks for a refund, this willbe possible for those weeks remaining as longas two weeks notice is given.

    Force Majeure

    In the event of force majeure such as fire,flooding, infectious diseases and other eventsoutside the companys reasonable controlwhich may cause the closure of the school, norefund of fees will be made to students, exceptat the schools discretion in exceptionalcircumstances.
