FRESHMAN...is a student who has never enrolled in any college or university following graduation from high school. This includes a student who has less than 31 semester or 47 quarter college credits.

Freshman admission requirements:

• Personal Faith Statement

• Christian Character Reference

• If there is a question regarding a student’s academic records or essay, an educational or personal reference letter may be required.

• Official High School Transcript — Corban recommends at least a 2.7 GPA. *Note to homeschool students: Students who cannot submit an official public/private high school transcript must substitute a list of all coursework completed during high school. A sample homeschool transcript and information packet is available from the Office of Admissions upon request.

• Official SAT or ACT Test Scores—Corban recommends a 900 combined score on the SAT Critical Reading and Math, or a 19 on the ACT (neither are required for Early Admit Program.). At this time Corban does not require the writing section of the SAT or ACT for acceptance decisions or for academic scholar-ship awards. We do ask that the writing sample be submitted for statistical purposes only. Note: Corban’s SAT Code is 4956; ACT Code is 0477.

• $40 Application Fee (nonrefundable)—Corban will waive the application fee if: the application is submitted before the Early Application Deadline, the applicant provides the College Board fee waiver, or submits a letter verifying family financial hardship.

• Official College Transcript (if you have taken any college cours-es while in high school).

TRANSFER…is a student who has graduated high school any year previous to the upcoming school term and has taken any college classes after high school.

Transfer students with fewer than 31 semester or 47 quarter college credits may have to qualify for admission on the basis of SAT or ACT scores and academic records from both high school and college.

Transfer admission requirements:

• Personal Faith Statement

• Christian Character Reference

• If there is a question regarding a student’s academic records or essay, an educational or personal reference letter may be required.

• $40 Application Fee (nonrefundable)

• Official College or University Transcript(s)—Corban recom-mends at least a 2.0 GPA

Once you have applied you will be assigned an admissions counselor and contacted by this individual. Any questions you have concern-ing admissions, financial aid, or housing should be directed to your admissions counselor. If your plans change and you do not intend to complete the application process or to enroll if accepted, please notify your admissions counselor.

DEPOSITSIf you are admitted to Corban you will need to submit a $200 Tuition Deposit by May 1st for Fall semester, or December 1st for Spring semester. Missing these deadlines for deposit may result in the applicant being placed on a wait list, thus losing the opportu-nity to enroll at Corban. This deposit is refundable or transferable to another semester only if the Office of Admissions is notified by the following dates:

• Fall semester applicants – May 1st

• Spring semester applicants – December 1st

You must be accepted by Corban before you can submit your tuition deposit. The $200 Tuition Deposit will be credited to your account with the Business Office.

HOUSINGPOLICYCorban is a residential university. This means that all single students are required to live in the campus residence halls unless they qualify to live off campus by meeting any one of the following guidelines:

• Reside with parents or legal guardian

• Are 21 years or older

• Have completed two years at Corban

To reserve a room, each student is required to submit the Housing Application with a $100 Room Deposit. The deposit will be cred-ited to your account with the Business Office. • Fall semester applicants – May 1st

• Spring semester applicants – December 1st

Room assignments are made based upon the date your Housing Ap-plication and deposit are received. However, you must be accepted by Corban before you can submit your Housing Application and de-posit.

Most rooms accommodate two students. A limited number of rooms accommodate three or four students.
