ANGBC Mission and Objectives

Club Mission StatementTo offer an amateur youth girls basketball program through a volunteer base. The program will represent the Appleton North Area School District and be used to benefit the K-12 Girls Basketball program within the district.

Club Objectives• Cultivating individual skills and team play.• Conducting programs that enhance and strengthen participation and competition for amateur athletes.• Develop each player physically, mentally, and spiritually through exposure to higher-level competition.• Working with other sports organizations to benefit amateur athletics in the Appleton North Area School District.• Promote the philosophy, style of play, and ideals of the Appleton North High School Girls Basketball Program.• Cultivate a financial base to aid K-12 grade basketball program which will be used to upgrade opportunities, facilities, and equipment for all levels of play.

The Personal Story:• Your daughter’s portion of the Club’s Operating Expenses is approx

$500.• With an enrollment fee of $125, we need to raise another $375 for each

player. Levers we can pull:• Raise your daughter’s enrollment fee to $500 and balance our

budget.• Have your daughter sell fund raising goods for $375.• Partner with our fellow members to run home basketball events.

• To keep enrollment fees down and eliminate the need for fund raisers WE NEED YOUR FULL ENGAGEMENT AND SUPPORT at these home events (baked goods, food donations, gym set up, execution, & gym shut down).

General InformationAll Parents are needed at Volunteer

Events:• HOVL games and Tournaments:

– Sat Nov 5 from approx 11:00 am - 6:00 pm for those 4th, 5th, & 6th families assigned to ANHS– Sun Nov 6 7th and 8th grade tournament. – Sat Dec 3 from approx 8:00 am – 12:00 pm for those 4th, 5th, & 6th families assigned to ANHS– Sat Jan 7 5th and 6th grade tournament (split squad – volunteer event for parents invited). – Sun Jan 8 3rd and 4th grade tournament.– Sat Feb 11 5th and 6th grade tournament (split squad – volunteer event for parents

invited). • Parents will be asked to work the event in which their daughter is playing:

– help set up the day prior to each event – Bring baked goods, food items, paper products, etc. to each event– help to run each event (concessions, admissions, other)– please remain at the event until the gym and concessions area are clean - plan to be at

the tournaments until 8pm

Other ways to help:• Ask businesses to sponsor our club – a $100 donation gets their logo on our website for

a year.• Do you work for a company that will donate food or other items for our home games and

tournaments?

Misc Changes this year

If you enrolled but have not paid yet, please provide a check tonight to Angie Laux

• On-line enrollment.• Club picnic in August.• Website for team and club information

• Online apparel store • Restructured our Club income. Raised fees by $25 and eliminated gate fees for players parents & siblings and senior citizens. Identify yourself at the gate and get a hand stamp for free entry.
