Especially for families we attach great importance to the fact that both parents as well as children spend a relaxing an eventful stay in a cultivated environment. In 2012 we decided to extend our services especially for young families with babies and implemented the “Mom and Baby”-Program which includes everything starting from

In our main restaurant we offer a large variety in foods as for breakfast a rich American breakfast with beverages, daily freshly squeezed juices, coffees and coffee specialties, tea, cold and hot milk, cold and hot dishes, a healthy and low carb corner and show cooking with warm a la minute dishes in front of the customer

For lunch and dinner, we offer a large variety of foods on our buffet and our action cooks preparing fresh meals in front of the guests.

In the evening we also offer a children's buffet. For the youngest guests we prepare at any time baby foods upon request without extra charge. In all our restaurants we provide baby chairs.

A separate Cretan buffet for all meals with exclusive local Cretan beverages and dishes.

Also, guests with special needs in food like food allergies like lactose or gluten intolerance, special diet requests, vegetarian and vegan foods have the possibility to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

Once a week a Greek cooking lesson is performed for all our guests.

The Pizzeria located in the Snack Bar offers freshly baked Pizza for our all our guests every day.

In all our bars we offer national and brand name drinks and local specialties. While the children enjoy the water slides of the pool, the parents can enjoy a Greek or Ouzo Meze in our beach bar Kafeneion “Ammos”.

In the evening the families can join the entertainment program in our open-air theatre “Artemis” or enjoy a drink under the trees of the veranda of the lobby bar “Ariadni” while listening to life musicperformed several evenings of the week.

In the large hotels’ park our guests always can find a quiet place to enjoy the day or join the activities of our entertainment team around the pools. Also, the shadow spending trees invite the families to play a mini golf or ping-pong contest.

In our international Mini Club “Amaltheia” children can play and tinker with children from all over the world under the supervision of our experienced kid’s entertainers. In our small petting zoo with our five donkeys they can enjoy a ride on the hotel’s premises.

While the children enjoy their time in the Kids Club, the parents can enjoy the various day entertainment program of our multilingual entertainment team with games and activities such as Beach Volley, Beach and Mini Football, Aerobic, Zumba, Yoga, Aqua Gym, Darts, Basketball and other tournaments, while the day is rounded off by the evening program in the open-air theater with kids disco, theater and choreographies for the small guests and ending with different performances from our entertainment team, magicians and luminaries, acrobatics or local dancing groups dressed in traditional dresses, performing Cretan and Greek dances and inviting our guests to take part actively on the dance, followed by a music-dance program until late in the evening.

In our pool area our guests will find one main pool and two children and baby pools as well as three water slides for the children. During the high season we also offer swimming lessons with an extra charge or enjoy a free diving trial. For the pool safety of all our guests but especially for the children the pool areas pass several safety checks initiated by our cooperating tour operators to guaranty a carefree holiday for our families.

Pools

The hotel is situated directly on the beach, approximately 7 km west of Heraklion, inviting our guests for a walk on the beach. Being close to the city, the short transfer from the airport and to the hotel is very convenient for families. A regular bus line, connecting the hotel to the capital, invites for short excursions to the town or walk to the nearby village of Amoudara.

For short trips nearby we also offer mountain bikes or the guests enjoy a ride on the “Open Bus”, starting from the hotel for a round-trip to several sightseeing points, Knossos and Heraklion, ending at the hotels’ entrance.

Also, since the hotel is situated in the middle between the coasts of east, west and south Crete, most sightseeing attractions of the island are reachable by a rented car within one hour.
