API Signup Instructions

The API Key for Pixabay is already included in the FotoPress plugin, so you don’t need to do
anything with it.
Flickr
1. Flickr is also a part of Yahoo. If you already have a Yahoo account, use it to sign in to
Flickr. Otherwise, sign up for your account here: https://www.flickr.com/signup
2. While logged in, go to this URL to access the App Garden page:
https://www.flickr.com/services/api/keys/
3. In the App Garden page, create an app so you can obtain an API key. Click on the link,
You haven't created any apps yet. Why not create your first? or visit the page directly
here: https://www.flickr.com/services/apps/create/
4. On the next page, click on Request an API Key.
5. Choose APPLY FOR A NON-COMMERCIAL KEY
6. Fill in the required details as indicated by the red arrows on the image below:
7. After clicking on SUBMIT, you will be sent to a page containing your API key and secret.
You will only be needing the Key.
8. Copy your key and paste it on your Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress Pro > Images >
Flickr > Flickr API Key.
9. Your Flickr Username is your Yahoo ID. Go back to Flickr and locate your Yahoo ID in
Flickr from Settings > Your account > Personal Information > Your Flickr account.
10. Copy your Yahoo ID and paste it on your Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress Pro >
Images > Flickr > Flickr Username.
11. Click on the SAVE ALL CHANGES button just above Free Image Sources.
Youzign
1. Log in to your youzign account at https://youzign.com/login.
2. While logged in, go to your Profile page to view your API keys.
3. You’ll need your Youzign Public Key and Youzign Token:
4. Copy your Public Key and Token into Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress Pro > Images
> youzign and click SAVE ALL CHANGES.
Dropbox
1. Sign up for a Dropbox account if you don’t already have one.
2. While logged in to your Dropbox account, go here:
https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps
3. Click on Create app.
4. On the next page, choose Drop-ins app and name it whatever you want. For example,
name it FotoPress Plugin.
5. Click on I agree to Dropbox API Terms and Conditions as well as the blue Create app
button below (lower right):
6. You will be shown a page containing your App key. You will also need to put your
website domain in the Drop-ins domains field. In the example below, we typed in
www.fotopress.com. Click on the Add button to add it.
7. Copy your App key and paste it on your Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress Pro >
Images > Dropbox.
8. Click on the SAVE ALL CHANGES button just above Free Image Sources.
1. Log in to your Facebook account and go here: https://developers.facebook.com/
2. If this is your first time to visit the Facebook Developer page, you will be prompted to
verify your account (if you haven’t already done so). You can get verified by putting your
mobile phone number.
3. Once verification is done, go to My Apps > Add a New App
4. Select the WWW image and click on it.
5. Now type a name for your new app. You can name it whatever you want. For example,
name it FotoPress Plugin. Then click on Create New Facebook App ID to create it.
6. In the next window, select the Category that best represents your website and then click
on the Create App ID button.
7. You will then see a page similar to the one below.
8. At the bottom of the page, type in the URL of your website and then click Next. In this
example we will use www.fotopress.com.
9. Go back to the Developer Dashboard by clicking on the link: Skip to Developer
Dashboard.
10. Your Facebook Developer Dashboard will now show you your App ID and App Secret. In
order to reveal your App Secret, click on the Show button. You will be prompted to enter
your Facebook password again.
11. Copy your Facebook App ID and App Secret and paste them on your Wordpress
Dashboard in FotoPress Pro > Images > Facebook. DO NOT CLICK AUTHORIZE YET.
12. Now go back to your Facebook Developer Dashboard and go to Settings.
13. From the Settings page of the Facebook Developer Dashboard, type in your URL in the
App Domains field and your email address in the Contact Email field. Click on Save
Changes afterwards.
14. Next, go to Status & Review. Make your App public by clicking on the NO button (to
toggle it to YES). Finally, click Confirm when the prompt appears.
15. Finally, go back to your Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress Pro > Images > Facebook
and then click on the AUTHORIZE button.
1. In order to obtain an API key from Google for use with the FotoPress plugin, you need
the following beforehand:
a. Google account
b. Redirect URI (provided by FotoPress in Images > Google Drive/Google+)
c. Javascript Origins (provided by FotoPress in Images > Google
Drive/Google+)
2. Open this URL from your web browser and log in to your Google account:
https://console.developers.google.com/project
3. In the Developers Console page, go to Select a project > Create a project…
4. Name your project whatever you want, agree to the terms, and then click on Create. See
the image below for your reference:
5. You will be notified once the project is created. See the image below for your reference.
6. On the upper left side of the page, click on APIs & auth to expand it and then click on
Credentials. A window will appear in the middle of the page.
7. Now click on the Add credentials button and select OAuth 2.0 client ID
8. On the next page, you will get a notification: To create an OAuth client ID, you need to
set a product name in the consent screen. Click on the Configure consent screen
button to proceed.
9. In the OAuth consent screen page, fill in the Product name. The name can be the same
as the name of your project. In this example, we used FotoPress Plugin. The rest are
optional and won’t be needed. Once done, click Save.
10. You will then go back to the Create client ID page. Select Web application
11. When Web application is selected, two new requirements will appear. You will need to fill
in the Authorized JavaScript origins and Authorized redirect URIs. Copy them from
your Wordpress Dashboard > FotoPress Pro > Images > Google Drive/Google+ and
paste them in the appropriate fields in the Google Developers Console page. Once
done, click Create. See the image below for reference.
12. Finally, your Client ID and Client Secret will be shown.
13. Your client ID is your Google Client ID and your client secret is your Google API Key.
See the image below for your reference. Finally, click on Save & Authorize.
1. Just key in the email address you used to sign up for Pinterest in FotoPress Pro >
Images > Pinterest.
2. Click on SAVE ALL CHANGES just above Free Image Sources.
1. In order to obtain an API key from Instagram for use with the FotoPress plugin, you need
the following beforehand:
An Instagram account
Redirect URL (provided by FotoPress in Images > Instragram)
2. Sign up for an Instagram account if you don’t already have one. Instagram only allows
signups from its iOS, Android and Windows Phone apps. You can register using your
Facebook account or an email address. Download the Instagram app for your device
here:

3. Go to this URL and log in to your Instagram account from your PC:
https://instagram.com/accounts/login/?next=/developer/register/#
4. Click on Register Your Application.
5. Fill up the required information and then click on the Register button. See the example
below:
Application Name – whatever you want; for example, FotoPress Plugin
Description – whatever you want; for example, Integrate Instagram with the
FotoPress Plugin for my Wordpress site.
Website URL – your Wordpress site’s URL; for example,
http://www.fotopress.com
Redirect URI(s) – provided by FotoPress as stated in Step 1; for example,
http://www.fotopress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=fotopress-
images&iauthorize=1
Contact email
6. You will then be sent to a page that shows your Instagram Client ID and Client Secret.
7. Paste your Client ID and Client Secret to your Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress Pro >
Images > Instagram and then click AUTHORIZE.
8. Allow FotoPress to access Instagram by clicking Authorize. If successful, you will be
sent back to your Wordpress Dashboard.
1. Before you can obtain an API key for Twitter, your Twitter account has to have your
mobile phone number linked as indicated here:

2. Once you have verified your account, go to this URL and log in to using your Twitter
account: https://apps.twitter.com/
3. Click on Create New App
3. Fill up the required information and then click on the Create your Twitter application
button. See the example below:
Name – whatever you want; for example, FotoPress Plugin App
Description – whatever you want; for example, Integrate Twitter with the
FotoPress Plugin for my Wordpress site.
Website – your Wordpress site’s URL; for example,
http://www.fotopress.com
Callbak URL – optional; leave blank
Developer Agreement - checked
4. Upon successful creation of your Twitter application, you will be taken to a page similar
to the one below.
5. Now go to Keys and Access Tokens to get your Consumer Key (API Key) and
Consumer Secret (API Secret).
6. Paste the Consumer Key (API Key) to your Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress Pro >
Images Twitter > Twitter Api Key
7. Paste the Consumer Secret (API Secret) to your Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress
Pro > Images Twitter > Twitter Api Secret
8. Now go back to Twitter to create your Access Token and Access Secret. Still in the
same page on Twitter (Keys and Access Tokens), scroll down and click on the Create
my access token button.
9. You will be greeted with a message like the one below upon successful creation:

10. Paste the Access Token to your Wordpress Dashboard in FotoPress Pro > Images
