STAY AT HOME PROCEDURES The parish will remain closed until the

Governor’s stay-at-home order is lifted. The

building is locked and all liturgies, devotions,

meetings, etc., are cancelled. To reach a member

of the staff use the email address on the bulletin

cover or call the parish office number at (218) 233-

4780 and follow the recorded instructions to leave

a message. It will be passed on to the appropriate person.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

In this Sunday’s Gospel, as we hear the

story of the disciples on the road to

Emmaus, we also come to know that

our daily reaching out to our neighbor is

our daily walk with the risen Christ; we

recognize him in others. When

your donations to St. Vincent de

Paul Society are given to the needy

you recognize Jesus in them.

_______________

TIRED OF BEING HOME ALL DAY?

How about escaping into the world of

Guardian Angels? Author Henry

Ripplinger has announced that from

now until Mother’s Day (May 10th) the

seven-book series, Angelic Letters, will

only cost $110, a savings of $30, if you

purchase the complete seven book

series. If you are interested, please call

the Parish Office (218) 233-4780 and

leave your name and phone number as

a message. The phone system will

Be Vigilant:

Stimulus Payment Scams on the Rise

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES

Act) authorizes stimulus payments to those who qualify. As a result,

scammers may target Minnesotans and try to steal their personal

information.

Will government agencies contact me about stimulus payments?

No. Government agencies, including the IRS and the Minnesota Department

of Revenue, will not call, text, or email you requesting information for

stimulus payments.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue does not have a role in issuing these

or other federal payments.

What should I do?

Be aware of phishing calls, emails, or texts that include language such as:

“In order to receive your stimulus payment by direct deposit, you must

confirm your bank information.”

If you get a suspicious email or text requesting information, report it. Do not

click on links or open any attachments.

Where can I find more information?

For details on federal stimulus payments, monitor the IRS Coronavirus Tax

Relief webpage at https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus.
