The Briar Wire | Volume 1, Issue 5 | December 2015 “Next is Now”: 2016 fundraising challenge to all alumnae Sweet Briar needs all of us now as we activate the process of restoring leadership, scholarship, good governance, stewardship and excellence! Together, we can accomplish anything. The Office of Alumnae Relations and Development has launched the annual giving program with a broader plan to diversify our funding sources. This is now a comprehensive vision called “NEXT IS NOW.” It all started last week with: - a Thanksgiving teaser showing appreciation for support over the past year; - a mini phonathon (details to the left), jump started on December 1 with #GivingTuesday; - a case for support outlining the full initiative, which will come to your mailboxes soon; and - a letter from fundraising champions who will be reaching out in the new year. When you receive the case for support, you will see that we have an ambitious goal of raising $30 million by June 30, 2016. We need your support now just as much as we did during the Saving Sweet Briar campaign. Join us! To make a gift now, visit sbc.edu/gift or mail your checks to: Sweet Briar College Sweet Briar Fund PO Box 1057 Sweet Briar, VA 24595 Spotlight on 2015 Year-End Financial Planning: Now Is The Time To Consider Charitable Ways to Increase Income and Decrease Taxes Gifts of Cash
