1 First of all, make sure you have the ID of the journal. If you do not have the ID, please request from MCC’s indexer. Eg : Jurnal Teknologi (ID : 170) Go to MyJurnal http://www.myjurnal.my/

2 Click on the title of any journal (for eg 3L : Language, Linguistics…) :

Step Instructions 7 :: TITLE ::

RULE Capitalise the first word and proper nouns only. Lowercase all nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, and subordinating conjunctions, coordinating conjuctions, and prepositions regardless of length. Eg :

Title in MyJurnal : Persepsi pelajar perempuan terhadap program dan profesion dalam bidang kejuruteraan: kajian kes di Malaysia dan Jepun Title (Other Language) is not compulsary. You do not need to translate the title. However, if it is provided in the article, please add the Title (Other Language). PLEASE TAKE NOTE : If the whole article is in Malay language, the Malay title should be the main Title, not Title (Other Language). Vice versa, if the article is in English language, key in the English title as main Title.


Step Instructions Make sure there is no space in the beginning / at the end of the article. Do not put dot (.) at the end of the article.

Do not capitalize all words.

11 :: VOLUME / ISSUE :: This is automatically available. Just make sure you are in the right Volume / Issue.

12 :: PAGE :: Key in the page number of the pdf article.

If there are no page numbers in the article, put zero (0) for both.


Step Instructions 13 :: REFERENCES ::

Copy and paste the references from the article. RULES Make sure each reference ends with a dot (.) Put numbers in the references. Start new reference in new line and put a space between each reference. Clear the alignment. If there are no references in the article, leave references box empty. Example :

Author, Year, Article Title, Journal Title MUST be accurately copied especially for references from Malaysian journals. Therefore please check again after copying.

Copy and paste Bibliography into MyJurnal reference box, but make sure that only the cited references* in foot notes / end notes are retained in the Bibliography. Eg: In the article that has bibliography and foot notes. (Underline references are published in Malaysia).

Copy and paste the titles from journals, books, chapters in books, popular magazines, working papers that are published ONLY in Malaysia into MyJurnal reference box.


Step Instructions NOTE:

i. Cited references* that we want are titles from journals, books, chapters in books, popular magazines, working papers that are published ONLY in Malaysia NOT including Malaysian newspapers and speeches OR by Malaysian authors OR anything related to Malaysia even though it is written by foreign authors, so just delete anything that is published overseas or not relevant to Malaysia.

ii. The other references in Bibliography that are not mentioned in foot notes/end notes should be deleted.

iii. If author names with same titles are repeated many times in foot notes/end notes, it

should be appear only once in MyJurnal References. 2. If the article has no Bibliography, but only Foot Notes/End Notes:

Copy into MyJurnal references box the obvious authors which have been cited* from the End Notes/Foot Notes that ONLY published in Malaysia. Eg: In article that only has Notes / Foot Notes / End Notes. (Underline references are published in Malaysia).

Copied and pasted the titles that are published ONLY in Malaysia into MyJurnal reference box.

3. If the article ONLY has Bibliography, do not copy and leave the References box empty.


Step Instructions 14 :: DOWNLOADABLE ARTICLE URL ::

Copy the URL of the actual article from the publisher’s website.

Do not put the main webpage / archive page of the journal.

• If there’s no URL (the publisher has no website from which you can download/view the pdf),

leave URL field blank.

• If there’s no URL directly to the pdf (i.e. when you click the full text pdf, the article opens as a file (file download link) rather than a URL), then the URL entered would be the web page just before this one.

Save/download the pdf article from publisher’s website. Save it somewhere in your computer

and upload it back to MyJurnal.

Please take note of the pdf file’s name you are saving. It can contain letters, numbers and/or underscore ( _ ) only. If the pdf file’s name contains other characters (such as %, (, ), -, # etc), just replace the characters with underscore (_). You may also rename the pdf to Article 1, Article 2 and so on.
