About the collaboration
India Vision Foundation in collaboration with Artreach India has started a 6- month Teaching
Residency Program at its Bawana Community Center. In this collaboration Artreach India
artists will conduct 12 full day workshops (two workshops per month) with 20 children (aged
12- 18). This teaching program is based on Artreach’s tried and tested art education modules
developed through the years. Apart from imparting skills in art, the aim of this workshop series
is to create a sense of emotional well-being, confidence and happiness through creative
engagement.
International Girl Child Day
With an aim to teach children the importance of equality between two genders. The
Residential Support project conducted activities to sensitize children about the Girl Child. For
children above twelve years of age, an essay competition was organized, while the younger
batch became a part of a healthy discussion which revolved around the opportunities that a girl
can avail in her lifetime; the project decided to emphasize on teaching boys about the ways in
which they should respect the girls. Ninety-seven children were a part of this session.
