HOMES, COMMUNITIES, AND HOPE.

51families served.

20132013 was one of the most successful years in our history.

We continued our mission of providing affordable housing for many local families through new home construction, rehabs, and critical home repair work.

We were proud to be selected as a host of the 30th Annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project,

inspiring thousands of new volunteers and donors. The week-long event culminated in a gala dinner and

celebration with special guests including Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.

We broke ground on Sable Ridge, a multiphase 51-townhome development that is the largest in our history.

We were one of only ten Habitat affiliates to reach a $2 million lifetime-tithe achievement.

For these and all our accomplishments large and small, we are forever grateful to the many volunteers

and donors who have made our success possible. You are our strength and promise.

$2,000,000lifetime-tithe achievement, allowing us to sponsor more than 680 homes in 40 countries.

This is the ultimate life-changing experience. With my income, I would not ever have a home for my children without Habitat. Thank you!

I have never experienced something like this in my life. This is something I will never forget.

HOMEOWNERSHIP2013 marked the launch of our comprehensive

Neighborhood Revitalization Project, which includes a combination of services such as

new-home construction, rehab of vacated and foreclosed properties, and critical home

repairs for low-income homeowners.

We look forward to partnering with residents, nonprofits, and other community supporters to

continue our work in Globeville, Montbello, and other Denver neighborhoods hard-hit by foreclosures.

A mortgage is so much better than rent, and it’s amazing that the loan is interest-free. We could not own a home without Habitat.

15existing homes repaired, providing healthier living environments to keep families in their homes.

36new homes built, providing families the opportunity to celebrate the holidays and welcome the new year in a new home.

15,000 individual volunteers participated in everything from construction to office work.

100,000 volunteer hours on our construction sites and in our ReStores.

VOLUNTEERING2013 was a momentous year for Habitat’s

volunteer program. Thousands of volunteers dedicated countless hours and creativity to Habitat’s construction, ReStores, and

administrative work, allowing us to achieve great things. Without our volunteers, Habitat

would just be an idea.

PHOTO: Saba Asgedom helps her new home take shape.

I have been inspired by the volunteers I have worked with. It’s wonderful they take the time to help others. After I have finshhed my sweat equity, I will still volunteer to help other families.

ReStore HOME

IMPROVEMENT OUTLETS

2013 was a record-breaking year for our three ReStores. Sales were the highest ever, and tons of usable materials were recycled

and put to good use.

20,000individuals donated materials like furniture, appliances, and cabinets.

500tons of materials diverted from landfills and sold in our ReStores.

PHOTO: Habitat homeowner Megan Currigan and her daughter at their dedication ceremony.

My experience working at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStores was amazing. Something special occurs at these ReStores, and through it magic happens. The impossible becomes a reality for partner families such as myself. If anyone is looking for something meaningful and fun, stop at the ReStores and volunteer your time; it changes lives.

QUOTE: Megan Currigan

DONATING2013 will go on record for all-time high

donations to Habitat Metro Denver. Many thanks to our generous donors who

helped make this year such a huge success. It’s a big step toward our goal of serving

500 families over the next five years.

PHOTO: Habitat homeowner Angel Meza with volunteers from the 2013 Denver Broncos.

This is going to change my life. This is going to change my children’s lives. Habitat is not just about empowering one single person but it ’s empowering your family and community. That ’s what you’re doing—you’re building stronger and happier communities.
