Parent Teacher Meeting

Parent Teachers meetings generally held at the start of the year to discuss the students

performance. Parents were called for to interact, get update and share their concerns with the

teachers and school authority.

General PTA Meeting for primary classes 1st to 4th was held on 2nd June 2018 to discuss about the

Academic Planning 2018- 19. And similarly, General PTA Meeting for classes 5th to 10th was held on

4th June 2018.

Teachers Training

New annual year started with the Teachers orientation workshop which was held at Panhala,

Kolhapur in the first week of June. At NKV School we believe teachers should always be updated

with the new teaching methodologies and syllabus and thus teacher trainings are conducted on

regular basis.

We feel proud that our School got Golden Globe Award and Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Paganis Madam

received ‘Dronacharya’ Award at the ‘Rangotsav’ event. Also, Art Teacher Mr. Sudhakar Bhandare Sir

received Kalagourav Award at the event.

We are pleased to inform you that, one of our teachers Mrs. Jyothi nair has recently won the ‘Ideal

teacher award’ by Krishna Sahodaya complex, Sangli and our sport teacher has been certified as

‘Yoga trainer’.

Co curricular activities

World Environment Day and Tree plantation programme

At NKV apart from quality education, we give equal importance to health, safety and environment.

World Environment Day was celebrated on 5 June with great zeal and enthusiasm. Also on the

occasion of environment day, Tree Plantation Programme was organised in Suraj Foundation

premises by the auspicious hands of Mr. V.N. Kalam, Dist. Collector of Sangli and green Architecture

Mr. Pramod Chougule. Mr. Pravin Lunkad, who is the founder Trustee of Suraj Foundation, was also

present on the occasion. An exciting drawing and painting competition was also held.

Industrial Visit

On 27 June 2018, students of class 6th & 7th from Nav Krishna Valley English Medium visited ‘Umed

Industry’ at M.I.D.C. Kupwad as a field visit activity. Science teachers Mr.Aslam Sanadi & Mrs.Sushma

Patil accompanied the students. Students got the opportunity to get information about

manufacturing of fabric from cotton fibres. Students were very much eager to see how the clothes

are manufactured and bundled. Also, Manager of Umed Industry shared some insights on how the

textile industry functions.

Handwriting and Poster Making Competition

School organised Handwriting competition for primary section from class 1st to 5th & Poster and

Slogan making competition on subject "No Plastic - Save Environment’ on 30June 2018. Many

Students participated enthusiastically in both the competitions.

Also, School arranged an activity for primary section grade 1st to 5th on ‘making the paper bags’ to

bring awareness to use paper bags.

3D technologies AT NKVS

We feel immense proud that new world technologies like 3D art is available in the school campus.

The development of 3D technologies has given rise to many opportunities for creating 3 dimensional

art object. Nav Krishna valley school, kupwad, Sangli started new activity on 2nd July 2018 in the

school as 3D printing classes. Students use 3D pen to create Hipster Glasses (3D printing) art. Mr.

Vikrant Rai (3D EXTER) 3D Printing teacher along with Mr. Sudhakar Bhandare and computer faculty

guided the Students on the same. Students from class 3rd to 8th participated in the activity.

Multi -skill Activities

Multiple Multi-skill Activities were held during the 2018-19 academic year for various classes, where students learned about tomato sauce making process, groundnut chikki making process, how to bake a cake and created many useful things at the ‘best out of waste’. Also students visited Takali school & shared information and gave a demo about our school Multi-skill programme on 27 October 2018.

Cleanliness Drive and swachhta pakhwada

Clean drinking water activity was held on 21 September 2018, where awareness was spread

amongst all the students regarding safe drinking water. Cleanliness drive was conducted and student

gathered together to clean the entire campus, likewise different events were held on the occasion of

swachhta pakhwada.

Traffic rules & Road safety seminar

On 11 October 2018, NKVS arranged seminar the topic Traffic rules & Road safety precautions to be

taken while Driving in association with RTO Department. Mr. Pradeep Bhat & Mrs Anupama Pujari

Assistant Motar Vehicle Inspectors were present for the programme.

National Reading Motivational Day

On 15 October 2018, Birth Anniversary of Hon.Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam was celebrated as "National

Reading Motivational Day" Nav Krishna Valley School, with enthusiasm and inspirational note.

Annual Sports Meet Inaugural ceremony

Annual sports meet inauguration ceremony was successfully completed with great execution on 27

November 2018 at NKVS.

Similarly Athletics meet events were started on 3rd December 2018. Annual Sport's opening

ceremony for primary classes was held on 5th December 2018.

Annual Cultural fest 2018

Annual cultural fest “SANSKRITI” was organised on 28 December 2018. Mr. Suhail Sharma (IPS officer

of Sangli distict) was present as chief guest along with the Mr Pravin Lunkad, Trustee Suraj

Foundation and Mr. Yashwant Toro, chairman NKVS and Mr N G Kamath, chairman Suraj

Foundation.

26 January 2019, Republic DAY

70th Republic Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm at Nav Krishna Valley School Kupwad. The flag

is hoisted by the chief guest, freedom fighter Mr. Jairam Kuste. Principal of NKVS MM Mr. Pawar sir

introduced the chief guest. On this occasion students expressed their feelings about the nation.

Specially Rudraksh Hankare captivated all by his patriotic speech. Spectacular acrobatics, yoga,

Lezim, human pyramids & other cultural activities are performed by students. The chief guest

addressed the students & narrated his thrilling experience of the freedom fight. Trustee of Suraj

Foundation Mr. Pravinsheth Lunkad, secretory Mr. N. G. Kamath, School Comittee Chairman Mr.

Toro, Social activist, Mr. Goundaje, Mr. Joshi, Gurukul incharge J. K. Kamath, Principal Pawar sir and

all the teaching & non-teaching staff were present for the function.
