Isabelle “Izzy” Grossman is a smart, Jewish twenty-something working at a New York bookstore. While

she is captivated by the intellectual world of authors like Tyler Moss her grandmother Bubbie Ida wants

her granddaughter to settle down with a “nice man.” Izzy sets her hopes on Tyler, but Bubbie calls on a local

matchmaker to set Izzy up with Sam, who owns a pickle shop. This fun romantic comedy crosses genera-

tions and customs with wit and warmth – as Izzy eventually “crosses Delancey” to find love.

UPCOMING SHOWS

Bing Crosby: Christmas on the Air, A SideNotes CabaretMatt Zembrowski and Paula Foley Tillen bring this loving and warm tribute to Bing Crosby to make you feel as warm as a crackling fire and thank your lucky stars that it’s sure to be a “White Christmas.” This homage to old time radio and the golden era of song is a perfect Christmas present that will leave you with a yuletide feeling right through the holidays.December 8-18, 2011

Holiday Pops, a Musical Mainstage ProductionWe’re gonna make merry with tunes from your favorite pop performers--folks like Brenda Lee, Dean Martin, Harry Connick, Jr., and Karen Carpenter. You never know who might be hiding under our Christmas tree.December 12-13, 2011

NunsenseThis “Sister Act” will convince you once and for all that nuns have a major funny bone! The Little Sisters of Hoboken have a problem. Their convent cook has ac-cidentally served a bunch of the sisters a tainted batch of soup, and several of the sisters have met their maker. Prayers are nice, but the surviving sisters need to raise some dough for the burials. A bake sale isn’t going to do it, so the sisters put on a talent show to end all talent shows. Jokes, songs and dancing nuns add up to one of the silliest musical celebrations ever!January 12-February 5, 2012

Song and Dance Man, a bug in a rug productionAdapted from the Caldecott Medal awarded book by Karen Ackerman, our tale tells a sweet story about the importance of family and its rich history. Two chil-dren follow their grandpa into his attic and in the most forgotten section of that dusty room, there is an old trunk. And when the trunk is opened, the past sings and dances to remind the children how much fun it is to live life! Used by permis-sion of Alfred A. Knopf, an imprint of Random House Children’s Books, a division of Random House, Inc.January 26-28, 2012
