He’s been very consistent in his development. We like him now every bitas much as we did at a month of age. That’s no surprise as his dam hasbeen very reliable in her ability to raise top end bull calves and bring themhome in the fall in superb condition. Sons have sold to Les Jacks, ArnoldSte. Marie, Tom & Pat Dooley, and John Grant. His numbers put him inthe top 10% for WW and MCE. He’s deserves serious consideration asthere’s a lot more that comes with this Riddler than just his good looks. Hisdam traces back to the mother of Muirhead’s “Bill” bull.

Take a look at the balanced numbers that come with these three ¾ brothers,lots 2, 3, and 4. Nice on performance and well above breed average forcalving ease. Lot 3’s top 10% rating for BW takes a second seat to his 4%for MCE.

When looking at this Riddler keep in mind he may be homo polled and ho-mo black as we missed getting hair sent in on him. Lot 5 carries extra mass on a strong skeletal structure. He’sfull of red meat and comes equiped with the assets neces-sary to help you get more out of your cowherd. Go Daddy is very complete inhis skeleton and muscle and that’s why he will be used at WLB. It’s hard to believe that a first calf heifer can produce something like lot18 with his 907 weaning wt and a 1608 pound yearling weight. We lovethe body mass on this Full Tank. Lot 19 is a maternal brother to WLB Bounty Hunter 365C who we own with Semex.We calved a bunch of Bounty Hunter calves out of first calvers and were very pleasedwith the results. His sire, Stockman was our $25,000 high seller in the 2015 sale goingto Harvie Ranching, AB. Stockman’s dam is a cow we think a lot of. Lot 19 offersplenty of reliability along with a pedigree that is a little different to a lot of programs.He finds himself in the top 15% of the breed for WW, top 20% for YW, and top 4% forMCE.

Denali comes with a premium pedigree that has garnered as much notorietyand value as any purebred pedigree since the turn of the century. We saw De-nali’s full sister in production at Ranciers and was very impressed with thematernal statement she made. Denali offers a great opportunity to instill thatsame strong maternal influence, genetic greatness, and excitement in yourprogram. He’s very balanced in his numbers and full of natural thickness andeye appeal. He has that Captain Morgan appeal and the Flirt cow family andall the excitement and real life goodness that comes with them.

Lots 21 and 22 are very similar in their genetics being sired by thesame sire and each having one of our L205 flush sisters on theirbottom side. Both should get your undivided attention if you are insearch of a first class heifer bull/cow maker. The big bonus onthese two isn’t just in the calving ease but also in the maternallygifted daughters they can add to your cow herd. 3554W is in thetop 1% of the breed for Calving Ease, top 3% for MWWT and thetop 4% for Milk.

This guy has always been an attractive one. His maturity ischanging his youthful attractiveness into a very appealing herdbull prospect. If you are in need of an extra good heifer bullyou had better take a serious look here. His numbers are closeto ideal. His structure is fault free. His presentation is second tonone and he doesn't let up when it comes to thickness and sub-stance. Combine all that with his excellent Calving Ease cre-dentials and you have a pretty good candidate to fill your bullneeds. Did I mention that he’s also homo black and homopolled?

His maternal grandmother was in her prime when we boughther out of a commercial cow sale in 2002. She calved here foranother 13 years after that. She got pretty long in the tooth be-fore we retired her but her dedicated call to duty is what con-vinced us we should keep one of her daughters. Lot 23 is oneof three 359A sons we are offering. He has the same cleanfronted flat shouldered structure that you will see in his twohalf brothers, lots 21 & 22. He also gives you one more candi-date to consider for your heifer pen.

Just on type alone he’s a pretty interesting bull. His full rib andbig barrel is the kind that we want every calf to grow into atWLB. The opportunity this guy provides gets more excitingwhen you see his numbers. They are above breed averagestraight across the board. This also includes his carcass num-bers. He doesn’t fall below 30% on any of his front line traitsand rates a special 1% on MCE. Then he stays up in the top40% on his carcass numbers. He also has the distinction of be-ing the only Simmental bull with socks in this sale.

We think of this guy as one of the really good cow makerbulls in this offering. His Connor Beech dam gave us plen-ty of good ones in the 10 years she worked for us. Thisdeep made beef bull is nicely skulled , big ribbed, andstrong in his structure. His performance numbers have himin the top 3% of the breed for WW and YW. His milknumbers have him in the top 30%.

I can’t believe I missed getting DNA on this dark red son ofour Baronson 254Z bull. His type will be liked by those thatsee him on sale day. His dam is so typical of the good cowsthat 47Y grow to be. His numbers are superb with all of hisfront line traits being in the top 10% or better except for WWand YW which are in the top 30% and 25% respectively. Takenote of his birth date, birth weight, and yearling weight. Thenremember this late March herd bull may be homo polled!

This was the other guy that I failed to get DNA for polled. Hetypes pretty consistent with his 3/4 brothers showing plenty ofrib and heart capacity as well as possessing a smooth flat shoul-der and a deep flank. Again take a look at his front line EPDsand you will find him to be in the top 10% of the breed for fivetraits and above breed average for everything but one.

This blaze faced herd bull is a ¾ brother to lots 26 and 27.254Z on top of Sunny daughters make for very consistentproduction and very balanced numbers. This guy is blessedwith very good performance numbers which have him inthe top 4% & 2% of the breed for WW and YW and 3%for MCE.

We are very pleased with the results we get when wecalve our Tradmark daughters to Sunny. Lot 29, 30 &31 are examples of that mating and we do like theconsistency we get in that cross. Enough so that wedid it again this calving season and are pleased tohave three heifer calves to put into our replacementpen.

Take a look at the birth weights on these three ¾brothers. When you combine that with the smoothnessof profile all three have you have three good candi-dates for your yearling heifers.

One of my favorite red bulls is this deep flanked herdbull. He easily catches your eye with his deep profile,proud carriage, and healthy hair coat.

Sire of Lots 29 - 36. Sunny “walks the talk”. His progenyare everything his numbers say he is. His daughters maketop notch brood cows. His sons are easy born, easy flesh-ing, and easy feeding. Sunny is the backbone of our redprogram.


His dam is one of our dependables. She leaves little doubtas to her abilities in raising herd bulls. This guy isn’t oneto just lay around. He’s probably the most active bull inthe pen always out on the prowl. We ran this El Tigre son in a 300 acre rent pasture in theBrandon Hills south of town. He dealt with rocky creekcrossings, sloughs and stoney hills. We were impressedwith his ability to cover his cows and maintain his con-dition. His Blowout dam has been one of our dependablematrons always bringing in a good one. She gave us aRiddler heifer calf last year that will definitely be stay-ing at WLB. Lot 41 will have calves on the ground bysale day.

This guy sold last spring but got banged up before he gotpicked up. He’s good to go now. His Accelerator damwas a good buy from Kevin and Glen Maxwell and isbeginning to make her presence known at WLB. Need more depth in your calves and cows. Then you need to have a lookat this red eyed Tonka son. He may well be the deepest bodied Herefordbull ever produced at WLB. He has the Blanche 127J cow on his bottomside. She’s the queen of deep. It will be very interesting to see the udderson his daughters once they get in production as both Sweet Pea 20W andBlanche 127J were two of our best uddered Hereford cows. Deep squareudders with small teats and full of milk all the way to weaning.

Loaded with muscle, performance, great haired and an idealshaped head. His dam is correctly uddered, sound structured,deep ribbed and loaded with milk. Dutch is also fully pigmentedand short marked.as well.

Big ribbed, big middle, big butted in a moderate frame. Dam is ahighly attractive ideal uddered female. Dallas is also fully pig-mented and short marked. His sire is a materenal brother to lot 54.

His two year old dam did a pretty good job on her first calf. This red eyedherd bull prospect is pretty good in his skeletal structure and very nice inhis muscle make up. A paternal brother was a high seller in last years Goodas Gold Sale. His dam is a maternal sister to my lot 63 bull.

Another red-eyed son of 47Z out of a milky Vol-ume IV daughter. Take note of his 76 lb. Birthweight. That combined with his profile suggestshe could be a candidate for your heifer pen.

Doug Troop purchased his first purebred Hereford when he was 14 from RJ Kerr in Portage. He has held a life membership in theCanadian Hereford Association ever since. That was 48 years ago. We showed this late March Density son at the BrandonAg Ex show. He was second in a strong class.

His dam is a cow we purchased from Echo Valley Here-fords in British Columbia.

His maternal sister is the dam of my lot 61 bull. A fullbrother was a high seller in the 2015 Good as Gold Sale.His sire has been a consistent in the assets he puts on hisprogeny. He has also proven to be very workable on firstcalvers.
