The Faint – Agenda Suicide Directed by the Graphics Company MK12, This music video

has to be my favourite music video ever, because of its amazing use of motion graphics and colour and interestingly odd storyline. The video consists entirely of motion graphics; with very consistent bright colours throughout the video.

I think the video works pretty well in relation to the song, particularly with the Title - "Agenda Suicide", in the way that the video has clips of what appears to be people jumping in front of a train in various points along the video (particularly at 2:42). Personally I dislike the song itself because of the harsh sounds which really do not seem to go well with the smooth vibrant flow of the video; but the video itself is what I am very interested in.

ATB - Ecstasy Directed by Elin Svensson, a British designer and

Illustrator;- the music video for Ecstasy features pure black and white throughout, which I think really makes it effective and classic. In relation to the song its much slower and less cut to the beat than other songs, but its much more intense and serious.

Overall the video seems fairly low budget, and the mise on scene is very typical of a town or mid-american village, using what appears to be typical features and on-location shots the video still works well. In relation to the music its not very related because there is very little cutting to the beat, and for a dance song that is pretty important. It also features no dancing what so ever which is unusual for a dance song. The lighting and effects seem fairly original as outdoor lighting tends to keep it bright and give a high contrast.

Empire of the Sun – We are the People Directed by Josh Logue, This video was

filmed in various rural towns in Mexico, displaying a very dry and wide landscape appeal to it and an underlying cultural theme which helps back up the mixed dreamy style of the song.

I like the video because of its diversity in rich colours and wide screen composition. Another key element to the video is the use of lighting; which typically continues to remain bright and colourful throughout the entire sequence but note at (4:05) there is shots of darkness which contrast and give another important element to the clip, all of which make it attractive to watch and unique to Empire of the Sun's typical theme.
