After releasing their mixtape Exmilitary in 2011, they were signed by Epic Records and released the album The Money Store whichreceived critical acclaim on music reviewing websitessuch as Pitchfork and other in the indie blogosphere.Then, when Epic Records wanted to push back the release of their next album No Love Deep Web, theband reacted by leaking the album in full on theinternet, posting nagging messages from the label ontheir facebook and twitter pages, and then put a pictureof the drummers erect penis as the album cover with the words NO LOVE DEEP WEB on it. I believe the video hassomething to do with the lyrics of the song,In which he is describing locked in an eight-storey building, and describes screamingdown at people below Come Up and GetMe! and accepting death, which I interpretas a metaphor for how he feels in his ownmind, as on the last verse he beginsdescribing his fragmented mind andexperiencing paranoia and other mentaldisorder. 8. 4. He was revered for his unique vocal style, musical choices and also his very outlandish and at times controversial physical appearance. This video is no exception. 9. The music video is rather simplistic,it features a few varying shots ofDavid Bowie singing along to thetrack, in a completely whitebackground. The music videoemphasizes his rather peculiarphysical appearance, he is very paleskinned, ginger hair with an odd haircut, and done up in womens make-up, which was something DavidBowie constantly experimented withthroughout his career, he took on theandrogynous form of a characternamed Ziggy Stardust. I think themusic video slightly detracts from thelyrics of the song as there are noclear references to them. 10. 5. Very clearlypolitically charged song and anenergetic live performance from theband which can draw in fans.
